Zvarri!

I've been replaying the first two Phoenix Wright games recently and since I appearantly can't get enough of them, I imported the third one. This means I've once again been caught up in the amazing world of the law and since Apollo Justice will be released here in Europe in May, I don't think I'll leave it for quite some time (who came up with idea to release the forth game before the third in Europe anyway?).

I just have to get that out. The Ace Attorney games are to be played by everyone owning a DS.

No, this wasn't just to get rid of the "Oh yeah, Wii"-title appearing next to my username everywhere.

Oh yeah, Wii.

Almost forgot about it. I bought myself a Wii last week and it's pretty fun just to navigate around in the menus.

Wii Sports is fun... I guess. For short periods... And in the multiplayer mode...

I bought WarioWare too and I don't care about it being too short. The mini games are awsome. And I can't seem to get that song

Tomorrow Hill out of my head either. :|

Other than that..., the console really lacks any good games. I can't wait for Super Paper Mario to be released here so that I have something to play.

Random thoughts on a few random games

I've played unusually lot of games, for being me, these past weeks so I just want to share my impression.

First of all, I was by a friend and tried the co-op mode of Gears of War. My expectations were really bad even though I heard a lot of good about it. Who knows, that might be the reason I actually liked it. I loved sitting behind a little wall waiting for one of the enemies to take a step out of his hiding spot. It felt really good not to be able to rush in and shoot everything in sight (reviving a fallen friend was very common nevertheless  ).

I finished Baten Kaitos now, by the way. Yes, the first one. I was late to buy it and I don't feel like importing the second one anyway. The game was great. It felt like one of the earliest Final Fantasies at times (in my opinion, of course) which gave it a very nostalgic feel. I don't want to complain about the story but everything really felt re-used. Every single RPG cliché seemed to be in it.

I played a bunch of DS games too but I haven't finished any of them so my opinions are really broken. The second Phoenix Wright game is really enjoyable. Most people I have spoken with seem to prefer the first game in the serie but since I haven't tried that one I will insist on this game being awsome (I really have to find no. 1 sometime). Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin is good so far too (is it just me or are the bosses harder than in Dawn of Sorrow?). I must say I prefered the first DS game's battle system (and intro movie ;) ), though. About the last game... It is Lunar Genesis (Dragon Song in the US). I haven't seen a lot of good criticism about it so I can only hope it will please me. I have only played about an hour by now, so that is the excuse I give to myself for not being to excited about it yet.

I don't want any real-life thoughts in this  blog... never mind my last post. >_>

Back from London

I've just spent (almost) a week in London during last week's holiday. It feels a little sour to go back to school tomorrow. Sure, it was fun in London but I need my rest. The hotel wasn't the best either. My room looked really nice on the surface. A pity that wasn't reality. Parts of the WC was broken and my bed was like a slope. Enough complaining. :)

Finished at last

At last I finished that Twilight Princess. Now I don't have to watch out for spoilers anymore. :D Only Baten Kaitos left and I'm up to date with the games I own... almost... But I won't even try to finish Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. Ok, Wii next... when I can get my hands on one of course. Why do it have to be so impossible? :'(

Xbox 360: First impression and Perfect Dark Zero, bad?

I've tried Xbox 360 for the first time last weekend (Wee!) and I'm amazed by the controller. The Gamecube had (in my opinion) the most comfortable controller last generation but I think this one is even better. I wonder how the other companies will keep up... On the bad side, it annoyed me to see how hard it was to connect it to the console (it took forever).

I had high expectations for PDZ, maybe too high. I almost only hear bad things about PDZ in my region, though. Everybody seem to rate it low here and I think that's a little undeserved. Admittedly, I've only played multiplayer since I only tried playing my friend's game with him but the co-op mode isn't that bad. I can agree that the Combat Arena is really bad in comparison to the original but it isn't worse than most other FPS's. I must once again praise the co-op mode since it, in my opinion, even beats the original's co-op. Rooftops | Escape is too fun to deny. ;)
