@tsansi I know, it is pretty hilarious when I hear people talking about China over here and how jaded they are to what actually goes on over there. I didn't know there was any "console ban" either in China until I read this story, as game systems and software are absolutely everywhere out there.
Granted when it comes to Xbox, they are all modded and every game is pirated, costing only $0.75CDN to purchase, available at most the week after it is released state-side.
Gamers in China have access and have had access to Microsoft and Sony's consoles for a long time, and this law won't change that. All that might change in the future is the ability to register and use their online services.
