WTF! I saw Joe Satriani in concert!

Well, I just got back from Myrtle Beach, and I'm already bored. I was there for about a week, and we didn't do a whole lot there, but we definitely had a lot more fun there then we would've had here, so I'm glad we stayed. It was a little chilly outside most of the time, so I didn't actually stay at the beach a whole lot.

We went to the Mall a few times and it took me a while to decide what I wanted, after all, I only had 25 dollars to spend. Anyway, I decided to waste it like I usually do. This time I wasted it on a game called WTF, which stands for Work Time Fun for my PSP. Aside from that, I also bought a Chiodos CD, the album is titled "All's Well That Ends Well". It took me a while to get used to Craig Owen's high pitched vocals, but I began to like it. It does have some pretty sweet guitar riffs, but even though the CD isn't bad, I wish I would've spent it on a "As Blood Runs Black" CD or "Mastodon" for that matter.

The game I bought, WTF, can be defined best as "weird". I knew that I was going to get a weird game judging from the review on this website. It did, however, get a pretty good rating. So far I like it, even though it's very repetitive and you find yourself wasting hours and hours doing nothing but getting junk from a virtual vending machines. The goal of the game is to get money from completing jobs, and then use the money to get junk and unlock even more mindless jobs. A few of the jobs available are pretty fun, others can be difficult and be more frustrating than anything. I only bought the game because it had a funny title and I was in need of a game for my PSP, which I plan to sell sometime this year if I can.

What really made the trip to Myrtle Beach worthwhile was going to a concert at the House of Blues. I saw freaking Joe Satriani, one of the best guitarists of all time! I also saw John Petrucci (amazing guitarist from Dream Theater) and Paul Gilbert (from the unforgettable band Racer-X), and all of them amazed me, although my dad didn't believe me, because I had a blank expression on my face nearly the entire time because I was tired.

I was really surprised, because it turned out that when John Petrucci played, he brought with him the fantastic drummer Mike Portnoy! I could tell that he didn't even really care by the way he kept dropping lots of drumsticks, and he might have been drinking a little bit before the concert. Nevertheless, he was amazingly talented, and is definitely one of the best drummers out there.

Overall, I had a good time at Myrtle Beach, though it wouldn't have been nearly as fun if it weren't for the concert and being able to hang out with my awesome Aunt.

In Wilmington right now, and I'm BORED.

I'm at Wilmington for a few days just to get out of the house and see my dad. I'm on spring break right now and I haven't done much so far except get some games for my birthday and go paintballing. There's a lot more to do here than there is at my house, but still I'm bored out of my mind.

I can't do anything right now because most of the stores are closed. Tomorrow I plan on walking to EB Games as soon as they open. But I have no idea of what I should buy. I was considering buying a PSP game because I don't have any games for my PSP, due to the fact that I sold all of them. I would've brought my Xbox 360 here, but I sent it in for repair a few days ago, which really sucks because I can't play it for 2 more weeks!

I figured that I would have nothing to do while I was in the condo, so I brought Morrowind over and installed it on my dad's crappy computer. If I upgrade the video card it'll probably do just fine... So that's the only game I have to play right now, and I must say, I've really gotten into it. I've never appreciated it before, but when I took the time to actually understand it in terms of gameplay I really started to enjoy it. I still find the storyline quite boring and difficult to follow, but that's what makes being able to do whatever you want in a game fun. Considering that I like Morrowind, I plan to get Oblivion for my Xbox 360 as soon as I possibly can, which might take a while because I only have $24.

Anyway, I downloaded this game called Wulfram just to add something to my Xfire game list, and I doubt it will be any good. I'm in the mood for an online shooter right now, and though this isn't exactly an FPS, it's the closest thing I could find to one. I should've brought Unreal Tournament 2004, Diablo 2, and a few other games; because I want to continue from the character that I was playing on last night in Morrowind, and I forgot to save the character files on to a disk and copy them onto here or something. Even though I started a new character, I miss my old one for some reason, even though he's still only level one and I haven't gotten very far, I feel as though I had a lot accomplished.

I'm sure that no one has bothered to read this entire post, as my posts can be very uninteresting and lucklaster in terms of something worth talking about. However, if you have made it this far into reading this post, I'm assuming you are just about as bored as I am; Me being the poster, you being the reader. Of course, typing this blog has not yet cured my boredom, so I am going to keep typing until I am not bored.

I drank a Rockstar energy drink today and it wasn't satisfying. I had expected it to taste just like every other energy drink, which, in fact, it did just that. It tasted like a toned-down Monster/Mountain Dew drink and had a quite "jittery" feeling afterwords. Even though I hate the taste, I felt the need to keep drinking it until the container that held it was completely hollow. I had done just that, and after my task of doing so was complete, I listened to my Ipod. I still feel a lack of energy, and I think I'm becoming a little bit addicted to caffeine.

If you have somehow managed to read/skip through some of the paragraphs in this blog post and make it this far, would anyone mind recommending me a game to buy from EB Games. I can't manage to find any good PSP games, but I'm afraid if I tell my mom I want to sell it, she will be upset, because she just got it for my birthday and I haven't even played it yet. It was supposed to be a replacement for my old one that had gotten stolen.

Anyway, I'm getting very very very bored. I might go get a Coca-Cola from the car or something because I'm thirsty and I cannot find water that doesn't taste horrible. By the way, thank you if you have read my entire blog post, because I'm afraid that I've wasted my whole time typing this, which is probably true.

Okay, I'm officially done. This is the last paragraph of my blog post. I'm finally done typing it. This is the end. Even though this paragraph doesn't fit quite right to end it. Maybe I should change the font, or make the colors different, add some emoticons to it or something. It doesn't seem proper to end a blog post this way. Is it? You tell me because I don't know. I don't know what to say, maybe this "final" paragraph isn't the actual final one. Yes, I have concluded that this conclusion is not properly conclusive! Therefore, my concluding (is that a word?) conclusion will conclude with a proper salutation, which will be stated directly below this paragraph.

So that's it. Thanks for reading (I know you didn't read it) this pointless blog!

My birthday is today...

I guess it's been okay so far... Well, as far as presents and crap goes. My parents have been very generous to me... They bought me Call of Duty 3 for my 360, a $50 American Express gift card (can be used for anything), a PSP (my old one got stolen), and they said that something else is coming in the mail.

Unfortunately, I haven't got to play much of Call of Duty 3. I beat the first Chapter pretty quick, and I enjoyed it a lot. After that, it kept freezing over and over again, and I eventually gave up. I might call Microsoft support later on, though they probably won't help me very much.

My mom felt really bad for me when my PSP was stolen, so I guess she just decided to get me another one. I wish I would have mentioned to her that I don't really like any of the games that are out for it... If I can find a good game (besides Tekken, that was awesome) then I will be more than happy with my PSP, but there was nothing I've played besides Tekken that I really thought was that great.

Idk what I'm going to spend my $50 on, but it's already burning a whole in my pocket. I also earned $17 from taking online surveys and washing cars, so I might either get another 360 game (if that doesn't freeze too) or an Xbox Live subscription for a year. If I get an Xbox Live subscription then my game will probably keep freezing anyway, so I won't be able to play Call of Duty 3 online...

Well... I hope I can get the Xbox 360 fixed sooner or later, and I hope I can find something to do on my birthday...

W00T! I got an Xbox 360.

I lost my PSP a few weeks ago, that really sucked. I didn't care all that much though, because my interest had deteriorated quite a bit considering I didn't have any good games for it. I have a feeling my cousin might've stolen it, and if that's the case, I will never get it back.

But now, I don't even care. My mom felt bad for me for some reason, even though I told her it's not a big deal. So she decided to buy my brother's Xbox 360 from him, and give the Xbox 360 to me!

Heck, now I'm glad I lost my PSP:D! Nevertheless, I still wish I had it. It was pretty fun for the time I had it, and it lasted me a lot longer than it did my PS2. Speaking of which...

I sold my PS2 to EB Games for $40. Yeah, it's kind of a rip, but I didn't care. My Playstation 2 may have lasted me about 40 or 50 hours total for the two years I had it. Sure, some of the games were all right, but I enjoyed my Gamecube a lot more. I also sold my PS2 games, which came to a total of $40 (they were crappy games).

With the money I got from my PS2 and games, I bought GRAW (Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter), and Burnout Revenge. They are both great games, with great graphics as well as gameplay. These games are really fun to play, and are definitely lasting me a long time!

So far, I'm very pleased with my 360. The games I have are great, and it's a lot better than my PS2 and PSP! Honestly though, I would rather have a $2000 pc than a 360. Still, I think it's awesome for what it's worth.

Finally, Level 6!

I've only been a member for a few weeks now, though it seems more like a few months. Anyway, I'm finally level 6 now. This means I can start creating my own union. I probably won't be doing that any time soon though, as I haven't even joined one yet.

I might join a union sometime this week, recently I haven't been on the computer much. Yesterday I was somewhat depressed and wasn't in the mood to do anything, so I slept the whole day when I got home from school. I feel a little bit better today now that I remembered to take my medicine... But god I hate that crap...

Today in science class I had a test. I obviously failed it, because I didn't have the oppurtunity to study. Maybe I'll play games this week, I just really haven't been very happy lately. I'm usually never happy, but the past few days have just been really depressing...

What all P2P MMO's should have

I think the monthly fee for MMO's are getting a little ridiculous. I mean, they can be fun and all, and $15 isn't hard for most people to get in a month, but some people don't play them enough to feel like they're getting their money's worth.

One major problem online games are causing today is too much addiction. I think that trying to get to the highest level is contributing to the problem, but there are other factors that add to this as well. If people want to get the most out of the $15 they spent for that month, they will most likely want to play it as much as possible. I'm not saying this applies to everyone, but mainly to a lot of underage people that don't have as much of an oppurtunity to earn much money.

Anyway, I'll get to the point. An hourly option for people who don't wish to play as much would be very convenient, especially for people who don't play very much. Not only would this be convenient, but I also think it would help the MMO's economy considering some players probably don't want to play because they don't have the time to get their money's worth. If the hourly pay option was available, this would most likely benefit the company and the players.

Many players of games like World of Warcraft, City of Heroes, and other online games most likely play 2 or more hours each day. I think the cost of $.25 an hour would be reasonable, as 60 hours at that amount would be about the same amount for players who play 2 hours a day (I might have confused you there lol).

What do you think? Should the hourly pay option be available for MMO's today?

Exchanged Fable

Well, I didn't play Fable. Instead, I exchanged it at EB Games for Titan Quest. I didn't have the receipt, but they luckily accepted it anyway because it was unopened.

Titan Quest may not be as good as Fable (I don't know, haven't played Fable) but it's a very fun game. Sure, it's pretty much a rip-off of Diablo 2, but I'm having a great time with it so far! The Character customization lacks a lot as far as appearance goes, other than that, it's very fun.

Surprisingly, it runs alright on my computer, even on high settings. I have to keep it at or below 1024x768 resolution, or it'll be very laggy. Also, shadows seemed to make a huge difference on performance, nearly 10fps! So I decided to put those down to medium. Anyway, I'm having fun with the game and I plan to play it for a while.

Wilmington/Fable/BS

Alright, I have three things to post about today.

First of all, my dad got a job in Wilmington today that pays twice as much as he already makes! We came here because we have to find a condo for him to stay in. We're in a hotel right now, and I'm on my mom's laptop typing this. Anyway, I heard that we had to leave about an hour before we did, which made me kind of mad.

While I was here, I bought Fable for the PC! I haven't had the chance to play it yet, but when I get home I plan to install it. I heard it was good and it was only $20. If anyone has any information about the game they could tell me about, it would  be greatly appreciated! I was going to buy Titan Quest, but my dad wouldn't lend me an extra $5 for it, oh well.

Lastly, I got a message saying I violated the Terms of Service today... It's a bunch of crap. I was considered "flaming" another player for calling him a "stupid fanboy". I didn't swear, I didn't continuously harass him, so I don't see what the big deal was. Luckily I didn't get any points taken away, but still, I can't believe that calling someone "stupid" (the same as ignorant) is considered flaming...

Personality Test

I just took this weird personality test, based on the results, it's supposed to give you results on kind of finding out who you really are. I'm not saying it's accurate on anything, just kind of an interesting website I found.

Another Crappy Year....

Yeah... New years... Woohoo. Big deal.

I think this year is going to be just as bad (or possibly worse) than the last... So far in 8th grade I'm making better grades than I did in 7th... But I have a feeling it's just going to get more difficult and all go downhill... Anyway, I don't want to talk about school...

As for what I did to "celebrate" new years, I went to a party in my neighborhood today. It was kind of boring to me. A few of my friends were at the party, but I didn't talk much. I saw this really hot german chick (she's probably a few years older than me) that is staying in my neighborhood for a while. She was drinking some wine because in Germany you're allowed to drink at a young age. I don't know if she was supposed to do that in America, but who cares?

Well... I don't really have a new years resolution... I guess it is to make the best of it, and hope I get a girlfriend or something that makes me feel life is worth living.
