..And all the animals were infact Nintendo 64 games.
So there's been a lot of rain at home and my dad's basement got flooded. That sucks in itself, however insurance is covering pretty much everything.
HOWEVER. My Nintendo 64 collection was in the basement. The games all made it because they were in plastic bags/cases, but all my manuals and boxes did not, and manuals and boxes are not covered (which makes sense but still a downer). Since I'm kind of an obsessive collector who's a stickler about keeping things in good shape and complete, this is no good. So luckily I still have all my games but their collector's worth to be has been hit severly.
So now I'm not sure what to do, because it would be awfully hard to find replacements on ebay, and I cccould just buy all the complete games over again, but I'd certainly have a hard time justifying it to myself to not only rebuying games that I already still own, but also buying games that I've already bought and beaten, and will essentially just go back into storage.
One game didn't make it, which was Paper Mario. So I got a write-off from one "Nintendo game", which will probably be a new Wii game. Sucks I no longer have the original though.
Oh, and the one game that happened to not be on the ground where the water was... Pokemon Stadium. Fantastic.
I don't mean to make a huge deal out of this though, because it's not. A lot of people at home lost a lot more than boxes and manuals to their old video games. But I figured this might be an appropriate place to rant.
