The PS3 as far as power and hardware is far beyond the 360 and it's showing more and more in recent weeks with the latest games that were supposed to be the big hitters for the 360 (halo 3 looked more like a PS1 game when it came to graphics).

Also look at some games that have been delayed until a later date (am thinking about GTA4 that should have been released a while back but was delayed most likely because of the limited space of the DVD9), now the developer is working on the GTA5 for the PS3.
