anyone know if the ps2 hdd will work in the ps3? If so i might as well just try to get the cheap version.

Does anyone know if the 360 or ps3 will support divx files? Will I be able to download them and watch them on my tv through the ps3 or 360? Would I be able to use my external hdd through a usb port with either of them?

I can't decide if I want a ps3 or an x-box 360. If anyone could answer this question I have I think that will make my decision. Now from what I understand both systems can acess your pc. Now can the 360 download or stream divx files/.avi format files so that I can watch these files on my hdtv? Also, does anyone know if the ps3 will be able to do this? I don't want to get involved with the fanboy arguments, so if anyone who has a 360 and has done this, or anyone that knows a lot about the ps3 could let me know I would appreciate it.
