Eradicator's Top Ten (Updated)

Hey everyone!! While I was surfing on GS today I realised that I hadn't blogged here for some time and thought that I'll take some time out and write something... Generally my blogs are either about my photoshop designs, unions, school results etc.... so I thought of doing something special this time around and went on to create some 'Top 10 Lists'. This blog includes my top 10 games, movies, songs, GFX designers, directors and soundtracks and I'll add a few more asap

Top 10 Games (With Rating):
1.Assassins Creed 2 | 9.5
2.World of WarCraft: WoTLK | 9.3
3. Prince of Persia: Warrior Within | 9.3
4. DoTA - WarCraft 3 | 9.2
5. Portal | 9.0
6. Prince of Persia: Sands of Time | 9.0
7. Unreal Tournament G.O.T.Y.E | 8.9
8. Crysis | 8.9
9. Age of Empires II & III | 8.8
10. Assassin's Creed | 8.6

Yeah, I just love Warrior Within. That game will remain at that spot till I complete Gears of War and find it worth a 9.5.... I still have to try it online. #3 was hard to choose but I think Portal deserves it.... its a revolutionary game. Sands of time is at the 4th spot coz it had gorgeous graphics and was ahead of its time and also it was the first game I ever completed. Even tho, the recent Unreal Tourneytitles haven't impressed me that much I think GOTYE was a cl@ssic game, real fun and highly addictive. Crysis is one of the finest FPSs that I've ever played, even tho the campaign was short, the physics, graphics and the gameplay were just amazing. Moving on to the next spot, we have AoE 2 which is the best RTS to date def. even AoE 3 couldn't take its place but that game is also great and deserves a spot on this list. Assassins Creed is at #8 and believe me this game was numero uno on my list few weeks back but then as I kept playing it, it became really boring coz of its limitations. Ubisoft has a done a fine job with the game but there isn't really much to do in the cities and you find yourself doing the same thing over and over again everywhere you go. The last game, but certainly not the least, on the list is Star Wars: KOTOR II which is probably the only RPG that I've ever played from start to end and I really enjoyed it.

Top 10 Movies (With Rating):
1. Shutter Island | 9.5
2. Lord of The Rings Trilogy | 9.4
3. Inception andThe Dark Knight | 9.3

5. Pursuit of Happyness | 9.1
6. Spider-Man 2 | 9.07.
7. Bourne Ultimatum | 8.9
8. The Simpsons Movie | 8.8
9. Legend of Bhagat Singh | 8.7
10. Gandhi | 8.6

I saw Drak Knight yesterday and it was a great movie. I loved everything about the movie. Hats off to Christopher Nolan for his great direction and hats off to Heath Ledger as well for his brilliant acting as the Joker. LOTR trilogy is next in line and is certainly one of the finest works of Hollywood. The Daparted was a very good film as well. The acting was of top quality. #4 is Will smith's finest (acc. to me offcourse) Pursuit of Happyness which is a 2006 American biographical film directed by Gabriele Muccino about the on and off-homeless salesman-turned-stockbroker Chris Gardner, followed by one of my fav. superhero movies, Spiderman 2, which was way better than the third one, that rather disappointed me. The Bourne series itself is really good and I just loved 'Ultimatum' so I placed it at No.6. #7 is the Simpsons movie which is my favorite animated movie of all time. This is followed by Iron Man, another good superhero movie. This is followed by my favourite hindi movie, Legend of Bhagat Singh, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi who is one of my favorite directors as well. Gandhi, the hollywood film by Richard Attenborough was very well directed and the role of Gandhi was very well portrayed by Ben Kingsley, this film is at No.10.

My 4th Review

I just completed my 4th review. This one is for Prince of persia: Warrior Within and I have given it a 9.3 but because of GS's reviewing system I had to give it a 9.5. Here is an excrept:

"When Sands of time released in 2003 it amazed gamers with its great and gorgeous looking environments and became really popular because of its subtle character and charming looks. Since this was the first 3D game of Prince of Persia, expectations were high and this game really stunned and surprised everyone and became a huge hit among its fans. Its sequel, Warrior Within has nothing less to offer. The game released after a year and was amazingly different. The new dark tone might not look good to everyone but it certainly impressed me. Ubisoft Montreal made up for their biggest mistake and made a long campaign for the game making it a great and worthy sequel."

The Ubisoft Entertainement Union

Hey everyone, As you all might know the coming fre years are going to be great for Ubisoft because of the various games that'll be releasing. Like Prince of Persia, Farcry 2, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Avatar, TMNT and many more. The Prince of Persia (SoT) movie will also release soon. So I thought of forming a union dedicated to just Ubisoft Entertainment which will keep you updated with the latest news realted to the same. The union has just established itself and currently has only 6 members. I hope that you'll join this union and help it to grow. Thank you!

New Prince of Persia

A new Prince of Persia will relase in the 4th quarter of this year. The game had been in developemnt for the past 2 years. Ubisoft Montreal is developing the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC versions, while Ubisoft Morocco handling the DS version. The game is looking very impressive visually and the artworks are stunning. The screenshots on GS are filled with the artworks of the game.

The events in Prince of Persia occur in a completely separate timeline from the Sands of Time trilogy, with an altogether new prince making his debut. This time, he's not a prince from the get-go. The new character that we'll play as is described as an adventurer searching for riches, who, through the course of the story, becomes a prince. Inspirations for the character have been drawn from Sinbad the Sailor, Han Solo, and even Lo "Dark Cloud," the desert bandit from Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

The series has always had elements of acrobatics, puzzle-solving, and combat. However, this time around the prince will have to rely more heavily on acrobatics to advance through the game. The game will still have many puzzles to solve, but the emphasis will be more on exploration and using the prince's awesome abilities to reach new areas. The game will have a partly-open ended structure in which the order you explore the areas is compltely upto you. However, the path to every objectuve will still be linear.

GameSpot's first impressions on this game has a detailed descripetion about this game. I'm really excited about this one and will deffinatley buy a copy as soon as it arrives in India. I just hope it releases real soon.

I saw Iron Man

I saw Iron Man yesterday (avec mes amis) and it was a great experience. It had everything - a good story, great humour, some really awesome effects and breathtaking action scenes. All in all it was a great movie and I highly recommend everyone to watch it.

*Spoilers Ahead*

The story is about a guy named Tony Stark who runs the stark industries along with with Obadiah Stane(his business partner). During a business visit to Afghanistan to demonstrate Stark Industries latest weapon the "Jericho Missile" cluster bomb, Stark is attacked and kidnapped by the terrorist group Ten Rings. Stark along with a fellow captive, Dr. Yinsen, are made to make the deadly cluster bomb for the Ten Rings, but secretly create a powerful armor fueled by a miniature 'arc reactor'(A small version of a power source previously invented by Stark). This arc reactor helps prevent the sharpnel to reach Stark's heart to kill him. Dr. Yinsen dies soon after the terrorist group discover their motives. Tony Stark however wears that armor, defeats many terrorists and destroys most of their weapons. The suit tho isn't that efficient and breaks down in the desert, where Stark is soon picked up by the Air Force and returns to US. He then immediately calls up a press conference in which he declares he won't be manufacturing weapons. His business partner tells him that this descision is blocked by the board.

Working secretly in his house in Malibu(California), Stark redesigns the power suit, refining it in size and improving its flight to make it more efficient. He even designs a more powerful mini arc reactor to power both the suit and his life support. Soon Stark is shown some photos of the terrorist groups having all the weapons including the Jericho missile built by his industry. He soon discovers that Stane his supplying the weaponry to both the US Army and the terrorist groups. Knowing this, Stark flies to Afghanistan in his new and improved suit where he yet again kills many people of the Ten Rings. While destroying their weapons, he is spotter by the US Air Force and his friend, Lieutenant Colonel James Rhodes. A pair of F-22's are sent after him, one of which gets damaged during this chase. Stark manages to save the pilot and James Rhodes declares this incident as a training accident after learning of Stark's identity.

Determined to make up for his mistakes, Stark sends his assistant Pepper Potts to find the shipping records of the Stark industries. She discovers that Stane was the one who hired the Ten Rings to kill Stark. She also discovers that Stane has recovered the power suit earlier designed by Stark for his own purposes. When Stane comes to know about Pepper's latest discoveries, he immediately steals Stark's arc reactor from his body and leaves him to die. Using his first reactor which was not designed to power his high-tech suit, Stark battles Stane on the top of Stark industries, deafeating(and eventually killing)him with the much required help of Potts who overloads the main arc reactor that powered the lab which drains the energy from both the suits causing Stane to fall into the reactor and die. Stark's reactor reactivates and the Iron Man lives on.

In yet another press conference in which Stark is supposed to state that Iron Man was his own bodyguard, he, as a result of stumbling into the questions asked by the press, ultimately reveals his identity as the Iron Man.

My third review.....

Yeah I wrote one on Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time today. I gave it a 9, I think the game deserves it. So check out my review and recommend it if u like it.

An except:
"The game is certainly a masterpiece. This is the first game that I played from start to the end and I can say definitely say that it grows on you and is very addictive. The game made a fan of the series and the genre because It has everything that a good game needs i.e a good storyline, graphics, great soundtracks and a good gameplay. You can perform gravity-defying stunts and kill your enemies in the most unusual of ways. Its a must buy for everyone......."

Evolutuion of a designer.

As u might know I love Photoshop and I've been messin around with it for quite a time now. I have improved for sure. I started as a solid noob but now my skills have evolved and I love desigining.
