After feeding users the half-finished, software compatibility-lacking Vista, microsoft now attempts to get rid of Vista's main competitor - XP, hoping that once XP is removed, all users will have no choice but to buy Vista (there is no other way they can get users to buy such an unpopular product). Not too long ago microsoft has announced that by June of 2008 Windows XP will no longer be available for sale at any retail. Vista has serious issues when it comes to compatibility of software and even hardware, and is an unbelievable resource hog. Even people with high-end computers, who can run vista with all the eye-candy still prefer xp (although those who want DX10 are practically forced to switch). XP is, in the opinion of many people, still the best OS out there, and therefor I ask all of you to
Save XP!
Once this movement started, microsoft announced that if enough users demand to keep XP on shelves of retail stores, microsoft might reconsider, in the interest of their customers.
