Did you just say that... cause that's totaly false information.
Tell me how your PC runs Wii and DS games? I put a Wii disc in my PC and it wouldn't run Mario Galaxy. I couldn't even find a hole in my PC that my DS cartridges fit in - so yes, enlighten me, how is it "false information" to state "PCs don't run Nintendo games".
Are you serious? Is this the subrosian control damage?
I'll leave you a clue... it's called emulators.
Or how about you trying to play a PC game in a Wii,Cube,N64,SNES & NES?
Perhaps he was meaning this in a legitamate fashion. Most emulators aren't exactly legit.Too bad that wasin't specified... but illegal or not you can't play PC games on Nintendo consoles.
ofcourse you cant, nintendos, especially wii, is an attempt to sell obsolete technology at unreasonably high prices. nintendos are simply incapable of running a pc game. the PC on the other hand... well, you get the point
It is a flop, but that doesn't mean its bad.
It was just hyped the DS killer, but failed, so that is why it is a flop.
lettuceman44
you sure it failed??
[QUOTE="foxhound_fox"][QUOTE="Ket87"]Its too easy to pirate games for it plain and simple.Ket87
It also takes no work to order a flash card and stick it into your DS.
Never heard of DS pirating ever being a problem. Plus PSP pirating doesn't require buying anything, if someone decided right now to start pirating PSP games they'd be up in running 10 minutes from now with an entire collection of games at their finger tips instantly. Way too easy.
doesn't that mean that sony really doesn't care what happens to psp on the market?
[QUOTE="Haee"]I took your post very seriously (honest) until I read up to this part.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA
Err, how are people who don't play video games affecting the industry then?
Are you talking about people like Jack Thompson? Or like legislators?
Or are you trying to suggest that (for example) since people are buying pre-built Laptops more frequently than desktops, it's a problem for the sort of hardware that powers PC gaming? (But not really since custom builds are the way to go with PC gaming).
they dont, they really dont
[QUOTE="Haee"][QUOTE="mudman91878"][QUOTE="subrosian"][QUOTE="_HAV0C_"]the PC is only how you BUILD it! There is no such thing as perfect, only what you expect from the pc. If yours is not perfect, then build one that will meet all your expectations (doesn't have to be top ofd the line and cost $5000). As for consoles, the uneducated 10 year old gamers do not know the hadware specs of a console. therefor they will not konw that console is much weaker and/or looks pathetic compared to any high-end gaming computer. As for "The Rise of Software Incompatibility", that is seen only in Vista, but that is because Vista sucks, as mentioned by millions of users worldwide. Use XP and you'll see the advantagemudman91878
No matter how I build my PC, it won't run Nintendo games.
No matter how I build my PC, I can't play GTA IV *today* with my friends.
No matter how I build my PC, I won't be able to play Too Human this August.

The PC isn't perfect, can't do everything, and can't meet the needs of every gamer. The PC is also changing - it was best for one audience, now that audience is better off with a console, and another audience might like PC better.
Do you really want to start comparing games? It's a known fact that the PC has the most highlly rated titles and the most exclusives.
you are desperately trying to convince people that PC gaming is dying but nothing could be further from the truth. PC gaming is growing and growing rapidly. There's more PC gamers than console gamers, PC gaming brings in more revenue than any console as well.
You trying to bring laptop and desktop sales into the equation is a pretty pathetic way to support your argument. Most people who buy a laptop, don't buy it to play games. Most people who buy desktops, don't buy them to play games. What this means is most of your data is 100% irrelevant. Something that's much more relevant is the millions of 8800 series video cards that are being sold. They aren't putting these 8800 cards in laptops, they're putting them in their custom desktops....something your data can't account for.
Do you think that developers are going to start to ignore the 263 million PC gamers and focus on the 30 million 360 and PS3 owners. Pretty stupid to think that will ever happen.
Facts: PC gaming is growing and growing very rapidly. There's tons more evidence supporting the growth of PC gaming than otherwise.
You tried hard, but ultimately used poor data and ended up wasting your time.
You misunderstood what Subrosian was saying and instead blindly fired back with another typical response I expect from a typical hermit, Subrosian isnt trying to spell PC gaming's doom but rather point out legitimate and concerning things about PC.
I "fired back" with facts, relative facts.
Don't be stupid, read between the lines. He's using worthless information and acting like it's a legitamate problem for PC gaming. Just because he doesn't come out and say it, it's exactly what he's trying to do. This is just a rehashed thread that's been tried hundreds of times.
I listed the facts, PC gaming is GROWING and growing rapidly. Look at relative information instead of his worthless laptop/desktop purchasing numbers which don't include custom systems which undoubtedly make up a lot of the gaming desktops that are used for PC gaming. Nobody gives a crap what non-gamers are buying, they don't affect the industry. GPU sales is a much better indication and yet he conveniently leaves them out since they don't support his "doom and gloom" outlook for PC gaming.
think of it this way: console is the most basic pc that is limited in every way. sony tries to chande that, by adding web browsing, keyboard, mouse, ect. to PS3. but PS3's hardware is still no match for any high-end pc
