Correct. It's spinning extremely fast to retreive all the info on the disc. Again has nothing to do with processing power of the 360 but wait.... OMG!! my Xbox is catching Fire!! The Damn disc is spinning tooo fast! :P
No, Call of Duty 4 and Gears of War are great games, but there really isn't that much information that is pushing the 360s limit.. I think that maybe Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Mass Effect probably pushed the 360s limit and maybe BioShock, because if you notice when you play them, the xbox 360 makes a really loud noise.. Louder than normal at least.abczby
Thats loud noise is your DVD-Rom. It has nothing to do with pushing the hardware. It's just reading the disc. :)
I think the 360 should be called XBOX 1.5. Killzone 2 gameplay footage owns any game on the 360 including Gears of War by a long shot.nVidiaGaMer
I have to agree, the PS3 is awesome when it comes to hardware specs and if Killzone really does look and play as they claim, Maybe the PS3 will be worth buying. :lol:
Face the facts. It's not about just one game nor the hardware pushing it. It's about the software. How fun are your games, how many do you have and are they good quality? Just look at Nintendo. There hardware power is the least of the 3 consoles and they are killing in sales.
PS3 will have to do better than Killzone to sell there console and maybe, just maybe in 3-4 years they will be able to compete online with XBOX Live.

The 360 isnt maxed out yet and wont be for another couple years. Developers always find better, faster, smarter ways to develope for a console in time. Its mostly up them how a system runs. You can have a game like Mass Effect that isnt pushing the bounderies, but it has development issues which tend to make the 360 look pushed for power.
But its the delelopers faults not the console. If given proper attention games could look as great as everyone thinks Crysis looks...But it would take time and knowing how the 360 would best use its resources...mho
