Downhill

I have a 55" HDTV from Sony that's an internal projector. It's a Sony 55A2000. The thing about this one, is that the lamp wears out after some time. I've had that TV for about 2 years. Maybe three weeks ago, the pear in the lamp broke. A new lamp would cost 2000NOK/200£/355US$ + shipping. I knew we would have to replace the lamp again in two years time, so I decided to buy a new TV. I ordered the Sony 52W4500 which is the same brand(bravia), but has just been released this month. No lamps to replace. :)

So I'm sitting here, waiting for the TV to get in stock at the internet store, when my graphics card suddenly figured out it didn't want to play any more fullscreen applications. At this point, I have no money to buy new hardware, so I'm stuck surfing the web and playing whatever flash-based games that are there.

Then the internet got shut down due to no payments. Great, now we don't have internet either... So I'm sitting here on my GF's laptop(I hate laptops, btw), hawking other peoples wireless networks. Sometimes I have to sit outside freezing to even get a faint signal. Also, this laptop only plays a limited selection of games, due to it being pretty old and worn.

I'm just waiting for my TV to arrive. They told me they sent it the day before yesterday, but they never gave me a tracking number so I believe they just lied to get me off their backs. I've had trouble with these guys before, and the only reason I ordered from them was because they were the first store to receive the TV. They were also the cheapest at the time.

There you have it. A day in the life of _fIrE_

Photoshop and fire.

WARNING!

LOTS OF BAD WRITING AHEAD!

I've just noticed how incredibly easy it is to shape fire in photoshop, and you can see the result. It's not the best work you've seen, but it does what it's supposed to... Fill my page with crap, that is. It was also convenient that my username allows for lots of fire.

Lately nothing has happened. No explosions, murder/suicides, deaths on the road, gaming or general mayhem. So I haven't got much to talk about. Come to think of it, I DID do something. Twice.I saw The Dark Knight. No wonder mr. Ledger did what he did. The character he played in the flick was so convincing, he must have actually turned into Joker IRL. I've seen him in a couple of movies before, every character he played was similar. Come to think of it, most actors have similar characters in all their movies. Like Morgan Freeman(who just got in a car accident) or Christopher Walken. If you didn't know Heath Ledger was acting in the movie, you would never have guessed who the Joker was played by.

Btw, R.I.P, Heath.

In the next movie they've got the Riddler and Penguin in the same movie, supposedly. So they don't borrow much from the older movies. If Catwoman appear, I want Walken back! He is terribly good bad guy! Too much contradiction!

So there!

Bye

The concert

was great, awesome! I used earplugs, and I'm glad that I did. I was seven heads from Iron Maiden, and I was almost hit by a drumstick. It was 3 feet away! Kinda wish I had bought the expensive ticket, which means a ride with Ed Force One from London, backstage pass, hotel and a ride back to London with Bruce Dickinson hanging out with the passengers. It only costed about 700U$D. I didn't have the money for it, though.

I recently got to try Soldier Of Fortune 4. It looks to be rubbish. They really need to update the mission structure if they're going to release more SOF... I installed Postal 2 the other day, just because I got psyched about Postal 3. I bought a used copy of Postal 1 of some guy as well. Impossible to steer the guy, and no way I'm playing it for long, unless it's possible to tune up the controls.

That's it for now.

Iron Maiden Concert!

Today I depart for the Iron Maiden concert in Trondheim. It will be awesome. I've never been to an Iron Maiden concert. I was at a Michael Jackson concert when I was about 10, and a Dream Theater concert when I was about 15. Both were in Oslo. I vaguely remember getting claustrophobic because of the crowd surrounding me, but it was probably because I was shorter than everyone else. :D

I've got money for gas, but not for food, beer and concert-stash. :'( Nevertheless, I think it will be a great experience. The weather is supposed to be good, at least no rain. My uncle lives in Trondheim, so I'll stay there tonight. Then on tuesday at 5pm(17:00) the concert is on! Iwonder who will do the warmup. Probably some unknown band from wherever. I'm just so psyched!:D

Total access or Plus?

I've only got about 50 days left of my Plus membership. I keep thinking about Total Access. I'm trying to be more involved in gamespot, because it's a great website, and the adverts do bother me a bit. I even reviewed a game. I guess I'll see when money get's thrown my way.

So I was a little skeptical about E3 this year. All the talk about change; downsizing, and no public access got to me. Well, guess what. It had changed, but neither for better or for worse. It was more compact, with more focus on games and not booth babes. There were fewer companies there. It's amazing what that little chat window can do for a show. Especially room 0. I'm still waiting for the emblem. :D

I'm going to an Iron Maiden consert on Monday. It will be awesome! Too bad I have money shortages. No beer-money. :(

Well. That's it for now.

My first blog entry

Hi!

I recently became a plus member of Gamespot. I thought it was about time. I really like the ability to watch the live shows.
I wonder if I maybe should have paid the extra money to get no ads, and unlimited speeds on downloads.

I am a PC, PS3 & XBOX 360 gamer, which makes it easy to find games to play.:) Unfortunately I'm always short of money, spending them on all sorts of electronics.

Check out my website, http://amrastelemnar.sytes.net! It has minimal stuff in it, and there is something wrong with the background! Yay!

Bye.
