You car analogy fails, seeing as his car would be... you know what, it just ****ing fails, I'm not gonna sit here and explain how. Let me further explain my guitar analogy. One guitar made out of Alder, uber bright, and one made out of Mahogany, considerably darker. The Mahogany one has a thicker body, which gives more sustain and a bit more robust sound. The Alder one has uber high-output pickups, and the Mahogany one has medium-output pickups. The Mahogany has thicker strings and a fixed bridge, which once again means more sustain and chunkier sound. Now I plug the Alder guitar into my amp, EQ it up and get a nice high-output, bright-ish sound, sort of like... well, John 5. Now I take the Mahogany guitar and plug it into the amp with the EQ on what was best for the Alder guitar. It's gonna sound considerably different than the first guitar because it's not putting out as much, which means less distortion, but it will sound darker, kind of... Tony Iommi/Black Sabbath. Now think about the PS3 and the 360. Made of completely different electronics, that just like guitars, act differently, and require different settings on the amp/TV.
@soleil22: You put them on the same... exact... settings? Lol. That's like plugging 2 different guitars into the same amp without changing the EQ, and expecting them to sound the same.
