Well I think its about time that I updated my blog so anyone that wants to read about me can catch up on what im up to after 3 years. I have finally decided to go back to school and get my diploma in digital production, then next year (2010) I will be doing my bachelor of film and television.

It has been a long journey for me. Since finishing year 12 I did a year of a double degree in psychology and law. Well it was horrible!! Alot of people will disagree with me but I think everyone should take a year off after year 12 and do some travelling. It is so important for personal development to do some travelling by yourself at some stage, the earlier the better.

So I deferred after that horrible year of hard work and decided to go travelling around the world. To say the least, IT WAS EPIC!

After I came home I just worked and worked and worked. I also did some short courses on filming and throughout the course of 3 years made 3 short films. Some were shown at local gigs in perth, which was fun. Now its time for me to go back to school and do what I have always wanted.

Now onto gaming - Well lately I have found myself getting back into Halo 3. Halo 2 was my love child and the multiplayer (IMO) cant be touched by any other game around. It was also the game that popped my cherry on xbox live so that could also have something to do with it. I abolutely HATED Halo 3 for so long. I found myself going back to it every now and then for a few games, but it just felt wrong. Now, I love it. I dont know what happened but something just clicked. Cant wait for the new maps.

Halo Wars I will probably wait for a drop in price it just doesnt seem as deep as I thought it would be. This is all judging from the demo. The video sequences are astonishing.

StreetFighter 4 is going to be awesome. I usually gather with friends a few days every week and we battle it out on Soul Calibur 4. Its frustrating to say the least because Im on a losing streak. My friend always goes the character Nightmare and I just cant seem to beat him. We are now hoping to move on to SF4 to create even more tense battles.

The Red Room has now opened up for business. I need to purchase a few more Lynch films for my collection. The problem is my girlfriend hates his style. She was also scared for days after watching the scene in Mulholland Drive with the guy behind the diner. She was also really scared in Fire Walk With Me in many scenes because of Laura's Killer.

As the release of the Xbox 360 draws closer and closer I contemplate accusations being thrown around by numerous people. Does the Australian public get screwed over by corporations in the entertainment industry? Well the simple answer is yes! I think Microsoft has learned alot of lessons over the past 6 months regarding where their loyal user bases exist. Asia is a tough market to crack as they are only interested in their own technology. Once that market is cracked however it means big business and lots of money. Sony has cracked this market and will most probably never release their power over the area. They continue to thrive in Asia and because of it, dominate the console sales. Australia may be a small market when compared to places like Asia, but believe it or not, we are one of the most loyal fan bases around. It is imperative to treat all continents equally or otherwise there will always be an outcry of unfair treatment. Given the fact that the 360 sold poorly in Asia it makes it harder for Australians to stomach the fact that we could have had our 360s long ago. Dreams of winning over the asian public for the launch were in vain. The asian public will only be cracked after releasing many of the traditional games associated with the area. RPG's are a very important part of the launch lineup and so are fighters. DOA4 did not make launch and as such paralyzed the launch. I think Microsoft officials in Japan must have really been pissed off with Team Ninja as they must have known it was an important title. THe heads obviously rolled as the operations manager of Asia for Microsoft stepped down only a few weeks after the disappointing launch. The launch in Australia will be very different to the one in Japan and will be very similar to that of America. Preorders will be essential! Yesterday I went to my local games store and they have told me that DOA4 might be delayed untill the middle of April. Why? I wasnt given a solid answer they just said "there is no official reason". I am happy in a way about the delay of the launch as it means that when it does finally launch we will have alot more games to choose from then our American counterparts. The American public are indeed spoilt with games and other forms of entertainment such as movies as they get everything so much earlier. THis also has a downside as reflected by alot of American xbox 360 buyers. There was no games to buy after the launch period ended. As Australians we have plenty to look forward to on launch and over the coming months. Untill launch day comes I will be waiting patiently with my sweaty palms ready to tear it up. I just hope next time around the Australian public gets treated with a little respect. Just because they sent a piece of crap ute with plasma screens that arnt even high def around Australia they think everything is forgiven. NO. Next time sort your business out Microsoft, I have alot of faith in you, and your products and the road you walking in the console industry. From now untill launch i think i will just take some sleeping pills and make the days go quicker as I have never been a patient man. Untill that day.................Xbox 360

Robocop has made his resurgence into the Halo 2 scene with style by representing himself extremely well considering he has not played in a while. With his **** connection and his dispute about my connection spurring him on, he fought hard in quite a few games on 3v2. Most of the time Dave and myself dominated the games. The team consisting of Robo, Invader and Reaper performed admirably racking up a few wins in decent gametypes. I like to think of myself as a man of honour. Being a man of honour i choose not to pick up the noob combo at all playing Australian people as it is a weak way to win. However recently I have found more and more Australians are quick to pick up the combo. They have been excellent players who could probably have beaten us without the combos. Honour amidst Australians is universal, or so i thought. Anyone that picks up a noob combo in Aussie vs Aussie can **** OFF AND DIE. The plasma pistol has to be one of the ****test weapons available in Halo 2 and utterly ruins some of the gametypes on some levels because people just use the combos throughout the game. I have started a boycott of all noob combos in games and believe it is having a positive effect on all players around me. Most people close to me have chosen to do the same thing as well. NOOB COMBOS are just that, combos for **** players. Pick up your smg or your Battle Rifle and fight me like a man you ****ing pieces of ****. As the days get closer and closer towards the release of the 360 i come to think of the great times i have had on xbox live with all of the people i have played with. Shadowsheep, ZillionCobalt, SuperDave and Shrimpit come to mind when i think of the journey i have been on in the past year and 3 months. Of course the core group of players i have been with since day 1 will continue to experience amazing moments when our 360 arrives in just over a month. It is so strange to spend so much time with people that you never have met in your life, though you feel you have known them forever. Now down to business. All these bull****ters that think the only real gametype that takes skill is MLG need to be taught a harsh lesson in old school Halo ways. Bring your MLG mentality into a CTF coag and you will get absolutely owned. These softcocks act like they dont know where their skills have grown from. Playing coagulation when Halo 2 first came out was one of the greatest experiences you could ever have on live. Many skill were developed playing CTF on COag while stealing the flag through the ground. Have all you MLG preppy school boys lost your roots or do you choose to forget where you originally had fun in the first place. I play some team slayer based games sometimes and find it so boring I feel like quitting basically all the time. TAKE A WALK ON THE WILDSIDE gentleman and go back to the old school gametypes. Maybe bungie should bring out a matchmaking playlist that includes all the old school gametypes we all used to love and play. I guess everyone has different ideas of fun and strategy, but come on, actionsack. What drugs are you on Bungie? Anyways just another report from the office of Xbox live. Maybe i should send some of these ideas to Bungie so that they dont need to think for so long to bring out a matchmaking playlist change. Ahhhhh the sweet satisfaction us Australians receive when we get host over the Americans. In some ways i feel as if Australian gamers are indeed better then our American counterparts due to the fact that they get host 85% of the time. When they do get host we can nearly beat them. When we get host we absolutely own the **** out of them. This is my reasoning behind it.

Me and Dave's ability in CTF coag is amazing. We are reaching the heights of Halo potential and are putting ourselves in territory not seen by alot of people playing video games. I think you have to truly understand that this gametype takes skill and not just the ability to own someone with a BR like MLG. All these MLG people really **** annoy me. MLG has got to be the ****test gametype ever created and yet i get critisized for my gametype prefrence. PLEASE **** OFF. That is all i have to say to MLG people that think because they are pro at MLG they are pro HAlo 2 players.

THe clan that is Nocturnal is one of the most amazing groups of people playing halo 2 period. I think alot of people playing halo 2 would say that. But the core group of people playing in Nocturnal (and they know who they are) have been together since way back in the day when i was amazed getting out of headlong. Reaper is becoming more and more observant in Coag and proceeding to really become copetitive in that arena. Spiner or Invader as some people call him has developed into one of the most feared snipers in our clan. His skill with other weapons can sometimes be lacking but if anyone was covering my back with a sniper my choice would definately be him. Robocop and Captain Kermit have developed an incredible bond to one of the most nerdiest games out at the moment, World of Warcraft. Their skills were becoming unbelievable but now their skills are lagging behind because of their lack of commitment. All together Nocturnal is and always will be one of my favourite clans i have been apart of.

More and more people are trying to challenge me and Dave in Coag 2v2 Ctf Br start due to the fact we have reached 35 wins and 0 losses which i believe is some kind of guiness world record. It should reach 40 by the time the 360 comes out if everything goes according to plan. People that run the HIH Forum (High Impact Halo) have to be the most nerdiest people that have ever graced my xbox. Some of the comments they have made about caring about their rank so much makes me feel sad that people in the world that are like that even exist. Hexedus needs to step up and play me and Dave instead of talking ****. Today he said that he cheats so he doesnt get cheated and proceeded to say that cheaters are ruining halo 2. What a hypocrite! People like this are ruining halo 2, coming up with reasons to cheat. **** OFF HEXEDUS YOU **** SOFTCOCK.

Scope Killer and a whole assortment of other poeple join peoples parties and proceed to start **** and will not participate in intelligent conversation because it is over their own heads. It annoys me to the point where i want to throw my controller at my tv because it is so obvious he has an Iq of about 20 and deserves to be put in a school for "special Needs" children. All these softcocks that talk **** and cant back it up with action need to **** OFF too.

 I guess this blog has turned into a little session discussing my time with Halo 2 in the past week. Well it has been an interesting week and definately worth an essay which i have written for all the readers out there. Xbox 360 will be coming in just over a month and i wont have to spend my boring nights writing **** like this. I will be owning **** in Call of Duty 2, Perfect Dark Zero, Project Gotham Racing 3, Dead or Alive 4, Ghost Recon : Advanced Warfighter, Far cry Instincts: Predator and Burnout Revenge. Thank you Microsoft for the next generation. Long live the King!
