I wish you could, otherwise thats what I would do. The only way to sort of do it is if your laptop has an S-Video in, get that output for your xbox, and watch it on a video editing program screen. But the resolution on that would be extremely bad, and there is a delay. I have tried several different ways and looked in to it a lot. In the end, I bought a monitor and some small speakers to take with me when I take my Xbox to friends houses or travel.

The only thing that is really off with your list is the 8 core CPU. What would all of the cores do? Would there be a performance gain worth it, or would developers have a hard time with it like the Cell processor? Would it be worth the added cost? Have any PC games really utilized 4 cores yet?

The consoles use a GPU that is really good for the time. But it could add longevity to the console if instead of putting one GPU in the machine, they put 2 of those GPUs in there, in an SLI or Crossfire setup. Or a Dual GPU card like the Nvidia 9800 GTX-2, which I think is different from what a "dual core" GPU is. That is my strategy with my PC graphics cards. When my 8800 GT does not keep up with games so well, I can buy another one and use SLI rather than buy the next $400-500 video card.

I agree that the Dashboard system should remain largely unchanged, and that the drive will most likely be blu-ray. Also, the 360 controller is so good it does not need any real changes to its design.

As far as video recording goes, I think that the console itself could do what Halo 3 does, and just keep a certain amount of content recorded, so if you want to save clips to share, you just find it in the saved video sessions, and export it to a PC in WMV format, or share it on Xbox Live like Halo 3.

Backwards compatability would be a MUST for 360 titles. Original Xbox games would need an emulator, and by the time the Next box comes out it might not matter to enough people.

I do not think Xbox Live will ever be free, but you get what you pay for. I feel like I get way more than my $50/years worth of good online support. I did not even cancel my subscription while I am here in Iraq, even though I can not play on live.

I am bored in Iraq and was thinking about some ideas for the next Xbox that I would like to see. While this post may seem pointless please feel free to state your thoughts to keep some of my time overseas occupied.

First off, HD DVD lost the format war. But, Old scholl DVDs have presented the 360 with a storage problem. For the next box, I think that M$oft should keep the manufacturing capability in place to put HD DVD drives in the new consoles, and print all of their games the HD DVDs.

Ok, so the storage problem would be solved. Then people would say, "But I want to watch HD movies on my xbox, WAAHHHH". Well you could with xbox live, continue with the direction they are going with the download service, and put a hard drive on every xbox. The multiple sizes would not bother me, sell one version with a good size drive, and a 20 gig like they do now for less money.

Memory card WTF? Get rid of those things. The detachable hard drive is great, but large. I have a memory card to move my profile between my two boxes and to friends houses if I do not bring my box. But let everyone use a regular usb drive.

Last, do not build any bottlenecks in to the system. Processor, memory, and GPU should be over adequate for the time that it is released. The 360 uses an ATI gpu, right? So it seams like the next one might too, and because of that we may see something like a quad-core AMD processor in there. Their parts are generally cheaper, and preffered by many PC gamers.

Please do not turn it in to a F*ing wii. If I wanted one of those, I would buy one, they cost like twenty dollars. Keep that silly crap on the live arcade and sell a peripheral maybe, but in my opinion, the wii is 95% lame. The other 5% is Mario Kart, but even that is not worth the trip to the store to get a wii for me.

Well that is my rant. ender707 out.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance is pretty good for 4 player co-op. Its fun for people who are not really into games too since its like an arcade style top down.

The party syastem is good, now most people with clans all use the same picture Icon that you create instead of having the acronym before the gamertag. Some people change their gamertag (which costs money).

Might not be as good as the real clan system, but it works. I run in to clans all the time.

XBOX LIVE Arcade games are some of the best "party" games. Bomberman, Worms Warfare, and plenty of other arcade games supoport 4 players co-op or versus, and they are really cheap (about 8-10 dollars). Marval: Ultimate Alliance is also a 4 player Co-Op game that got great reviews and is also cheap now, ($20-30 at most game stores).

nope. Which is fine with me because I was very unimpressed with the multiplayer in TF-2 on my 360 anyway.

Now is a good time because you can get it used for cheaper. The game was not worth $60. --> because I did not like the cutscenes interupting gameplay, the slow walks during radio transmissions, same enemies over and over, RETARDED chatter from your worthless squad, or the multiplayer. But hey, you might be in to all that stuff.
