One Year At Gamespot

Well, I can not believe I have been at Gamespot for a whole year now. I have not really been the most active forum surfer and poster. Nor have I been the best blog poster; well, I know that. I have posted two blogs in a whole year. :D Anywho, life is going pretty good for me. I do not have much time for games anymore. I have photo shoots every Saturday and Sunday and I have tons of school work during the week. Anywho, if anyone wants to go to my MySpace to look at my photography or just to befriend me here is the link.Well, I guess that is it for me for now. I will hopefully post more blogs soon. :)
Peace!

About Me: My First Gamespot Blog

Well, I have been here at Gamespot since February of 2007. But, however, I am a chronic procrastinator. So, I have finally decided to write my first blog telling you all about myself and my life with video games.

My name is Drew. I am only fourteen years old and I live in sunny Florida. I am going to be a freshman.

I have been playing video games since I can really remember. The first real game I remember playing was Street Fighter II on my Grandmother's Sega Genesis. (Yes, my Grandmother had a Sega Genesis, a tad bit odd if I say so. :P) I played it for hours on end when I came to her house every weekend.

After that, my Grandparents bought me my first and most amazing gaming console ever, the Nintendo 64. That thing used to be my life, especially through elementary school. I, honestly, still have it and have it hooked up to a plasma screen in my house. The first game I can really remember completing was The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I absolutely love that game and it is considered one of my favorite, if not my favorite, game of all time. I also had a Playstation when I was young child. However, I did not play it as much as my Nintendo 64. Some of my favorite games on the Nintendo 64 are: ToZ: OoT, Banjo Kazooie, Star Fox 64, Diddy Kong Racing, Mario Kart 64, and Goldeneye 007.

I also owned the original Gameboy and Gameboy Color. I played Pokemon Red & Blue on those a lot. I did also play other games such as the Donkey Kong game, but I mainly focused on Red & Blue.

I owned all of the previous generation consoles, the Gamecube, Playstation 2, and the Xbox. The first of these I had owned Playstation 2, which I enjoyed a few games on. This was really the generation that I played the least games in. The only real games I remember Gamecube games I remember enjoying were: Resident Evil 4 (This is one of my favorite games ever), Mario Kart: Double Dash, and Super Mario Sunshine. The Playstation 2 was the same way, but Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 were two of the most amazing games I have ever played. And the only reason I bought an Xbox was for Halo, because lets face it: Everyone I knew was playing this game. And I am not one to easily fall for fads.

Now, here I am, in the next generation of game consoles. I currently own the Xbox 360 and that is it for now. I went on a hiatus from playing it but I am finally back. I currently am playing Gears of War, Gutair Hero II, and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance. I am looking forward toward titles such as Banjo Threeie, Assassin's Creed, and of course, Resident Evil 5.If it is anything like Resident Evil 4, I will be one of the first people in line to pre-order this game.  My gamertag is Drew Daydream if anybody would like to hit me up for a match or something.

I am currently saving up for a Wii. I am becoming very anxious for Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, Super Smash Brothers Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy, and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. As for the Playstation 3, I am not quite sure. Some of the exclusives look nice, but it is a hefty price. I will have to wait before I decide to save up for one.

Well, that is it for now. If you would like to know anything else about me, gaming or not, just post a comment below and I will respond as soon as possible. Also, my gamertag again is Drew Daydream so add me and I will gladly accept!
