@teshammutna: they couldnt have guessed it. its possible they used some tool to brute force it, and its also possible that EA's database was hacked at some point when i wasn't playing on Origin and i just never heard about it and never changed the password. it's anyone's guess. im not using the word "hack" literally though. its just short for, they fuckin broke into my account and cheated on it, resulting in a ban. it sounds like youre stuck somewhere between "lets see if he made a mistake to bring it on himself" and a semantical argument.
someone can hack your account, cheat on Apex Legends, and you will be permanently banned from Apex with no hope of getting your account back. its in their tos, but its just bad policy. anyone can get pissed at another player, and hack their account and cheat on it in a vengeful fit. also its a f2p game. if i WAS a cheater i could make a new account to cheat on much easier than it is to get my account back, so whats the big deal. it just happened to me a few days ago. after seeing that id been banned for "cheating", i found emails mentioning suspicious logins also so i reported the suspicious activity on my account and changed my password. they can even see that it probably wasnt logged in (probably even in my country) when the cheating took place. they locked me out of my account and now i have to call them and plead with them to even get my account back and unlock it, and still most likely wont be unbanned from Apex. cry me a river EA. youre known for customer abuse and bad policies, along with misrepresentation of your games.
@doc-brown: then why not NOT use aim-assist to make combat more challenging? but really, the combat isnt meant to be a hindrance as far as i can tell. this isnt meant to be cs. they want the game to flow so that the story can be told. you (who seems to not even be much of a fan of linear games), didnt like the story, which steered you into focusing on and nitpicking at the details. thats really the gyst of it. just imo.
