I've been playing since release on PC and would recommend it to anyone I meet, A few of my friends picked it up on release and weren't that into it, they then started playing again recently in the new Arena mode and they cant get enough of it! Yeah there was Day 1 DLC bla bla bla but none of it pay to win, you could still play with the best players regardless of any additional purchases.

it's an open world game with 60+ of gameplay and you want big climaxes after 2-3 hours of playing it? Witcher world is huge, and this is open world with emphasis on exploration with many self contained stories, some good, some not that good, but main story should be quite long.

I'm not expecting anything after 2/3 hours to be honest, but after watching the recaps etc, there seems to be nothing major that has happened?

Hi all - Just looking for some opinions from people that love the Witcher franchise and people that are like me and are new to it.

I got a code for Witcher 3 with a new GPU I purchased a few months back so was looking forward to playing it after the reviews it received and the all mighty hype train that followed the game. I never played the witcher 1/2 but made sure I wasn't totally clueless by reading up the "must knows" and watching a few recap vids on you tube,

So i played 2/3 hours last night of the Witcher 3, and personally, what is the big attraction? Yeah it looks pretty and the combat mechanics are good, but the story etc from what I know just doesn't seem that interesting? Like its a load of..... nothing with no big climaxes?

Compare the Witcher to Shadow of Modor for example, Shadow of Mordor is a clear winner, in MY opinion.

Thoughts?

After reading that Rocksteady are charging gamers $40.00 for the Season Pass for Arkham Knight on top of the AAA price for the game, did 2k's marketing strategy with Evolve deserve all the hatred thrown at it, which handicapped the game release and sales?

In evolve for $40 bucks you can get the season pass for $20.00 which would open up all Tier 4 Hunters when released & 3 Skins for the 3 monsters when the game released. That leaves you a further $20.00, enough to purchase 4 x Hunter Skin Packs, or a hunter skin pack and the new monster when released.

Looking at the value for money between the two, you have to agree that 2K aren't as money hungry as once perceived...
