@tselliot: Search Youtube.I'm pretty sure there's quite a few fixes there.The video I watched was meant for the DS4 but the process should be the same except for the opening up part.

I've had this issue with DS4. I can remember at least 2 of my controllers having this issue.Eventually, I found the best fix for this and that is to buy analog replacements. No need to solder anything...
