Usually the resistors aren't labled like 250 ohms they use a color code, heres a link to understanding the colors; http://wiki.xtronics.com/index.php/Resistor_Codes

Now the capacitors use a number code heres the guide; http://www.pc-control.co.uk/capacitors.htm

Well, while searching for the component values i found your All About Circuits (great site) post so really you might have to take apart another DS light or ask around online to see if anyone knows the values. Also, if you do take apart another DS make sure you check the ratings/Values either using the guides i linked or using a multimeter to test the values (as suggested on the AllAboutCircuits site). I'll let you know if i learn anything, good hunting.

Oh and just wondering how did your ds lose those components O.o?

Do you have anymore photos of it? Like a little zoomed back and also of the other side (if you've completely taken off the board)? From the two photos looks like it could be possible jumpers but im not sure. Also might want to see if you can goolgle up the ds schematics (don't think they've been released though). Then again it looks like the R36 (resistor) arrow is pointing there. Lemme know if you can scrounge up some more photos of the area maybe then i could help ya out.
