FF7 story

I posted this awhile ago as a topic about when people started becoming a real gamer. It gets annoying to tell the story over and over again, although quite possible one of the more important stories of my life. So here it is, so I can keep better track of it.

-------

I have a pretty amazing story about how I discovered FF7, which really changed me from a little girl playing stupid little games into a real gamer.

It's kinda long so I'll make it brief.

I was 10ish when I went to visit a friend of mine who had recentley moved to Texas. My friend's brother owned a playstation, and one day as I walked by, I saw him playing this game where there was a character and he was in this neat tropical land and it looked really fun! I glanced at the cover and sure enough, it was Final Fantasy VII. I guess in a way I owe my gaming life to her brother, although I didn't know him well. I didn't think much of it and returned home. Back then I often would rent video games. One day I saw the familiar cover of FF7 from so long ago, and decided to give it a try. I fell in love immedientley! I played it constantley. Then I remember, it was during the boss in the Sinra building, which was my favorite part of the game. I was fighting the robot on the elevator, and I was so excited. Suddenley the game freezed! I tried many times, but taking a closer look at the disc, I found it was scratched. I was anxious to get back to my wonderful game, so I brought it back to the game store and complained. Unfortunentley, they didn't have any other copies. I waited weeks for the order to arrive that they placed for another copy of the game. Soon Christmas game and rather then waiting, I asked for it for Christmas, and got it. And that's it. I played it, I beat it, I loved it. Did all the extra stuff. Got Cloud's Omnislash at the Golden Saucer, got KOTRT, the gold chocobo, all that good stuff. Of course then I lost the memory card, but that's a story for another day.

And after that I played the other FF games, although I could never find a game that even came close to the joy I had playing FF7 until FFX, but even that pails in comparison.

Anyway, that's my wonderful story. What about you guys?

Oh by the way, I forgot to add in the post that the tropical place I had seen on my friend's brother's game was in fact the lovely Costa Del Sol.

Brings a tear to your eye doesn't it?

Splinter Cell

Just ordered Splinter Cell off half.com.

It was only $10ish so why not?

I was looking at my games yesturday and realized I had nothing to play. I need to sell. I tried playing FFX-2 again though. Lasted less then 10 min. Maybe it's just me. I hope I'm not losing my love for games or anything. I think it's just FFX-2. Not me. I rule.
