FPS = killzone 2 makes halo 3 look very meh
adventure = uncharted blows away anything on 360
RPG = ff13 destroys all

[QUOTE="aholtz"][QUOTE="wergfwefwef"][QUOTE="R-Dot-Yung"][QUOTE="killerkop"][QUOTE="projectpat2007"]its $4.16 a month. I spend like 30X that for cigarettes in a month. Its dirt cheap. MMO's are $15-20 a month, and thats just for ONE game.$50 bucks a year is still alot of money IMO, if you own a 360 and have live for 4 years thats $200 bucks.

stop trying to spin it to fit your likings or ideas
50 bucks a year is expensive for something that is free everywhere else
free everywhere else? what is "everywhere else" lots of things on xbox live is exclusive and can only get there, so how could it be everywhere else. because were not just talking about online play. Besides, there is only ONE OTHER CONSOLE that has online play at the moment. and that is ps3, and the online on that sucks.
The online play is pretty much the same on both systems. Sure you have more online games right now for the 360 but the experience is the same until HALO3 then its over for PS3 as online play is concerned but thats another thread. But the online services that are offered are not even close to even waste time to complare. Even though I did waste my time ealier by doing a brief comparison.
reasons why xbox live gameplay is better than ps3 online gameplay. ( numbers dont mean best or worse reasons, just there to show how many theyre are.)
1. no ranking system for PS3 online gameplay like there is on Xbox live
2. No reputation or recommendation system, to recommend good players, or complain about glitching players on PSN, but that is available on xbox live.
3. Majority of online players in ps3 community dont own a microphone, leaving your tactics for other players to go to waste, however almost all xbox live players own microphones due to the including of a headset in the premium xbox 360 package.
4. No guest player feature on ps3 online play, only one online player in a game for every console, unlike xbox 360 which has a guest feature.
5. no Gears, command and conquer, halo 3, and more.
6. no gamer zones which represent gaming style and influence player matchmaking (Recreation, Pro, Family, Underground) on online PS3, like there is on xbox live.
7. no Recent player list, which lists the last 50 players one user has played with on PS3 online play, like on xbox live.
8. PS3 supports playing online with other ps3 consoles, in which xbox live has a new system called "LIVE anywhere" which is an initiative by Microsoft to bring theLIVE online gaming and entertainment network to a wide variety of platforms and devices, including Xbox, xbox 360, Windows Vista, Windows Mobile, Zune, and more.
9. better security system on xbox live, which assures that modified machines or systems of unknown origin cannot access live.
He did what I didnt feel like doing.
Thx
[QUOTE="coltss"][QUOTE="OhSnapitz"][QUOTE="coltss"][QUOTE="OhSnapitz"]In the long run the PS3 is more expensive when you add bluray movies into the mix...
OhSnapitz
whos talking about blu ray movies here isnt this just comparing online services? Allright, you could always rent and thts what i do i dont go buy movies i only rent and what if you have a HD DVD on your 360 then what costs more?
If this is just about comparing Online services, then why are so many fanboys talking about bluray, and wifi, and HDD ect..? :|
Fact of the matter is you don't need XBL to enjoy the 360 just like you don't need bluray movies to enjoy the PS3.. However you people are stating it like you need Live when you get a 360.. It's an extra service the 360 provides, nothing more... Use it or don't, you still can have a blast playing the games, as I do. But as long as fanboys are going to add the cost of live in the equation (mostly to make the already pricey PS3 seem "less expensive" ) Then I'm going to keep bringing up the bluray argument because as I already stated in this thread... The PS3 is a VERY powerful system without br, but Sony is pushing it so hard because they want to own the rights to the next (and most likely only) disc media.
Almost evry1 plays online thts y its important to count it. does every one buy movies? no , mostly all people rent
The 360 is sitting at what... 11 million sold. 6 million of those users have live accounts according to M$ However they never specified if they're gold or silver accounts so that's roughly half (or less) of the 360 users are actually playing online games. That's not "almost everybody" my friend.. :| And as I said before if you're gonna use an optional feature like Live, then I'm gonna use an Optional feature like bluray movies... Because as I've said numerous times already.. what's the point in getting a BR player if you don't buy any movies for it..
Cause chicks dig the BR
psn is like net zero its horrible.F1sTDaCuffS
It would be horrible if I had to pay for it. But its free so it just sucks for now :D

It's annual. Add it up. If $50 a year is nothing, $200 is nothing, so the argument goes.
I don't quite see what your trying to get back at me, fifty bucks a year for 6 years isn't nothing, when your spending 50 to 60 bucks a game 2 or three times a month, so what's the big deal about 50 bucks a year for a subscription, thats like 15 dollars more than most magazine subscriptions, that nothing
so your saying it wont matter if you pay 50 bucks a year.IT MATTERS its some money and if your comparing to the ps3 you pay nothing
You get what you pay for right now. You pay nothing you get nothing. Once Sony steps up their services do you really think its still going to be free. CMON
Home isnt the next step? by the way its free
As I saidif you really think when everything is done. And I know about Home. Do you reallyand Imean really think its going to be free. You are going to have to pay for something at some point. No company will ever put this much work into something and not get a$$$ return somewhere.
