I pretty much almost always buy used... someone else's loss is my gain. :-)

For the big titles (like GoW3 when it comes out :D), I won't wait a month or two to save $5.

I seriously doubt that you have 25 GB in game saves. You are probably referring to your game data which can be reinstalled later. You could probably save all of your actual game saves on a 1GB thumb drive or even smaller.

I also don't think that plugging your hard drive into a PC will work either. I only say that because after I replaced my 60 GB with a 250 GB hard drive I plugged my 60 gig into a computer and it wouldn't do anything unless I formatted it.

Hope this helps.

Awesome, you guys rock. Thanks for the info.

And I will probably still get a 120 GB hard drive. I installed a 250 GB hard drive in my PS3 and I put all sorts of movies right on there, especially for my kids with their Disney movies. I didn't really want to stream them because I don't have that much storage on my current computer. I also download a lot of demos. I don't usually get to play them until about a month or so after I download them, so the added storage would be nice.

Do Xbox games install a lot of game data on the system like the PS3 does?

You can install 360 games on the HDD, but it's purely opional, unlike the PS3. The 360 doesn't force you to install.

Yes it's optional but you get some big bonuses when installing a game. It reduces the heat output by the 360 by a lot, reducing the risk for RROD. It also makes the 360 substantially quieter and it reduces load time some. The downside is it installs the entire game to the HD. Usually 3-5 GB depending on the game. Although when you're done playing a game heavily you can delete the intall easily.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but do you still have to have the game disk in the system to play it?

So I'm thinking about buying an Xbox 360, but I need some help. Let me just tell you... I'm cheap. I'm thinking about buying an Arcade Bundle and a used/refurbished 20GB hard drive and installing a 120GB hard drive from newegg on here. I know that will work because I found a really great article on how to set that up. What I need help with is the wireless adapter. I don't want to spend the $100 that MS is asking for. What are the best wireless adapters out there for someone on a budget? I have a wireless network set up in my house that uses WPA, so it has to be able to work with that. Does any body have any good sugggestions on which ones work best? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The PS3 OS takes up 5GBMrCanon40

This drives me nuts... there is no PS3 OS... they don't call them "Firmware Upgrades" for no reason...

If I were you, I'd buy it. It's definitely worth owning. I have already beaten it and I plan on playing it again. It is true that there is no multiplayer, but there are three different endings to the game depending on how you deal with the little sisters. The story itself is awesome as well. One of my favorites.

I voted for Resistance 2... not really because it was particularly hard, but because the gameplay in the single-player campaign was a little different. You really had to rely more on your "teammates" than anything else.

Yeah, that would be sweet. FToD was awesome, but I haven't played QfB yet. I heard that was awesome too.

It really depends... I'm assuming LBP's costumes are downloaded content from the PSN... in that case, no, they aren't giong to be saved unless you do an entire backup of your PS3. The good news is that after you get your PSN account set up on your "new" PS3 you should just be able to download that stuff again without any worries. Doing the full backup is really your best bet and I recommend it if you can. Either way, hope it works out well for you.
