My personal favorite is a PS3 controller, you can install drivers that will allow your computer to recognize the PS3 controllers inputs. It's awesome. DO NOT USE USB LIB

When my computer gets shut down, my monitor automatically goes into standby mode. My monitor detects inputs, and if it detects none, it goes to sleep.

A couple things. A great heatsink will trump water cooling any day, in my opinion.

I had water cooling in my old computer. It's a pain in the ass to install most times, you have to make sure that that tubes are TIGHT TIGHT TIGHT, because if any water leaks out...well needless to say you're pissed off then. Also you have to maintain it. Constantly cleaning it, and changing the water. well, you don't HAVE to, but if you want it to work well you do.

My computer AFTER the one with water cooling had a nice heatsink, and my CPU was overclocked from 2.5 to 3.5 and the temperature never even got above 40c if I remember properly.

Well, as long as the motherboard works now, you'll be fine. Especially seeing as when you first use a motherboard with a brand new computer, there's no OS, or anything of that nature, so it has to be able to function enough for you to install the OS. And if it doesn't work with you're current hard drive, what I'd do is disconnect it, and have just the new one connected, let it boot, install vista, then turn off the computer, and attach the old one so you can still have all the data on it.

What kind of heatsink does the processor have, and did you OC it, and when the computer shuts down, does it feel hot?

I personally wouldn't be concerned unless things start to seem sluggish. And your processor may also just be nearing the end of it's life. It's probably pretty old.

I have the windows 7 beta installed. It's similar to Vista, very similar, but there are pretty cool features. None currently drastically effecting or impacting gaming as far as I'm concerned. It just has cool features. It's basically what Vista should have been. And also there aren't any of the nvidia graphics driver crashes.

Yeah i'm thinking controller as well because he said wireless... erm the microsoft 360 model for pc? i'm not that into pc controllerslundy86_4

Yeah, I agree with you. In my opinion the whole glory of computer gaming is the keyboard and mouse. If you want to use a controller, just get a 360, way cheaper than a beast gaming PC
