@mastermetal777 @akhorahill It's not about being subjective or objective, it's about judging a game from something outside the realm of gaming. It's using personal beliefs to judge a game instead of the game's merits as entertainment.
I don't think a reviewer should rate a game based on its personal feelings or political views. Specially a game known to be violent and depict women as secondary (hooker) characters. I also don't think games are supposed to be all inclusive. Does all games need to include as main characters a strong woman, a black guy, a white dude, an asian fella, a dwarf, a left wing dude etc so no one is left in the rain? If it's not your thing, don't play or review it. It would be like giving a FPS 7/10 because it's just too violent and promotes the use of guns.
Even though I don't agree with political reviews (and generally disagree with the reviewer taste for games) there's no excuse to come here shouting, writing text in caps, personally attacking the writer or GS staff for speaking their minds. The forum rules should be respected at all times.
I think feedbackula is fun and is a nice way for GS to express its mind on the comment section. Making it go away won't make people polite or respectful.
YAY! One more reason to buy the Wii U! I can't wait not to play the next Fatal Frame and to spend months begging Nintendo to bring J-RPG to the US! Go Nintendo!
Blizzard was looking for a way get free add space for SC2. Maybe Torchlight 2 did better than what they've antecipaded. Mission accomplished. Their statement is void of content.
Most comments here are praising the removal of multiplayer, assuming God knows from where that it will free resources to single player development.
It's more serious than that. The art director and product developer leaving has little to do with multiplayer being there or not. They're probably leaving what they assume it's a sinking ship. I'd bet 2 cents that they're way past their budget and removing what they can in order to release it ASAP. Not to worry, it'll be released as overpriced dlc afterwards and praised as "support from the devs".
