The reason that games are slow coming to onlive is because when games are released , customers influence people to buy the game. So if I played for example Skyrim on Onlive and the controls sucks and the game looked crappy visually , then I would tell people not to buy it based on my playing experience ( even though I would know it looks 10x better and plays better on a PC/Console).
My main point is Bad Press costs devs money in terms of sales.
Also the reason people don't like onlive is because it is substandard , most of us have PC/consoles for these games that came out last year that are now coming to onlive , onlive does not have exclusives or any good games on release date.
The only way onlive would be good is if the customers paid $20 for a $60 game on release date , then maybe people would consider onlive more of an alternative to console/pc gaming
I'd just like to add that maybe Onlive isn't doing as good as you think , because if they were they would have enough money to buy some exclusives or good games on release date. It's funny that you say Onlive consistantly gains customers when I bet 80% of the people making Onlive IDs (which onlive does count) are just doing to test the system and play demos. I'd like to see how many regular paying customers they actually have. Ask your boss about that one for me will you.
