If you don't like it don't play it, if you like it then play it. Too many people talk about video games like politics, as if they're going to be affected by what other people choose as their entertainment. Some people like to watch Fast and Furious movies. Some people do not. You do not see arguments all over the internet about how the Fast and Furious movies are ruining the movie industry, there are still plenty of good movies coming out that are not Fast and Furious if that's not what you're into, so just watch those instead.
@Zeeksie Nothing's wrong with free to play, just with the bad devs that have soiled the name. Just curious, but what's the last free to play game you played? League, Warframe, and TF2 are just three games that come to mind when I think of good free to play games that aren't pay to win.
@Tripwolf @pakhair "No alternative" is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard anyone say about videogames. Secondly, the F2P business model is not what destroys games, it's devs making the game pay to win.
@Techn1c4l Free to play is how to truly test a developer. The bad ones will make it pay to win and the good ones won't. We'll find out what kind of developer Namco-Bandai really is.
@Nathalmighty1 Not sure why you wouldn't like free to play, if the game has good developers (which the Tekken franchise does) then usually it doesn't end up being pay to win, and if it's not pay to win you can get years of entertainment out of one game for no cost. I have been playing League for three years and have spent $20 purely on cosmetics just because of how much time I've invested in the game.
@Dumper1 @sagejonathan Doesn't have much to do with your post, but I just wanted to say that everybody can replace "next gen" with PS4, there's not really much competition anymore.
@Poinciana I would consider having all 40 characters quite a luxury, this is probably aimed more at people who just want to fight people online with their favorite character, which means that they probably don't even pay a tenth of the cost, also Namco's not stupid, they're not going to expect people to buy a $60 game for $200, please use some reasoning.
