summarized crap

'tis been quite sometime since my last blog, so lemme try to summarize the highlight :

- upgrade my OS to Win7, Ultimate of course,

- Tried Dragon Age, funny…I don't like the art so I left.

- Finished Dead Space (at last)

- Started Dirt 2, great graphics, very realistic.

- Downloaded Call of Juarez 2 in 3 weeks, finished the game in a week.

- Joined the Gamespot Fuse, therefore I create a Raptr account, check it out at http://www.raptr.com/alesmana

With that, let's fast forward to my present addiction, Mass Effect 2, i just wrote the review here.

Well I think that's enough for now, the game's really worth the hype, although I think I have to start taking it easy on it, I've been lacking sleep on weekend, and I think I skipped meal a few times, have to remember to live, I think for this week I'll just lay down, read magazines while listening to loungy Aphex Twins….kickback, 'till next weekend.

1st impression

It's been a month since my Phat Machine is fully assembled; I've been tinkering with the machine for quite some time, trying out the clock setting, fan speed, even reorganizing the PCI boards for optimum cooling environment.

A few times I've encountered error, I've found that every time I set the speed down on EPU setting I always get the blue screen, but I can fix that by simply switching back to Performance mode, after browsing thru the net I found that there a quite number of user with similar problem, most of them removed the program to fix the problem once and for all, I opted to keep the application and just stay away from the silent mode.

I've settled down with current setting..for now anyway, and then comes the best part..games.

two words : mind-blowing, my mind is literally fried from experiencing great graphics, great theatric sound, very nice indeed, considering that I've been absent from this part of gaming world for years.

The first games I installed was Burnout Paradise, I've always been a fan of Burnout series from their PS2 days, this time they really upped the level, the car crash just got so much even better, the graphic and sound are equally 'loud'.

Secondly was COD4, truly best photographic games I've seen so far, and I was quite surprised that this kind of military game actually had a plot, it's really worth the buzz.

And then comes Batman Arkham Asylum, Bruce Wayne never looked better, the costume are so detailed, you can see every texture of the fabric, very painstakingly detailed…

Well..i'm exhausted, see ya next time.

Building my own PC

I've been spending the last weeks just browsing through pages, seeing thru malls and hardware store, trying to put together the components for my desktop-PC-to-be, i hope it's gonna be great as i hoped it would be,

I'm a bit tempted to just buy the whole components and put them together myself instead having the tech guys do it for me, that'll be a great experience, but i don't know if I'm tech-savvy enough for that, ah we'll just see then..

stay tuned..
