@Sepewrath: Nobody said they owned Rare, just that they didn't want them any more which is confirmed by the fact they were willing to sell their share.
Rather than just closing the game down why didn't they have some decency and patch the game so that it unlocks everything offline? But no, they didn't want to spend a penny more on it.
I can understand some games as they don't have any offline functionality at all, but this one could have easily been made so that toybox is fully functional offline like I believe it is on console.
Its clear they ditched the PC version ages ago though as they didn't even bother to include support for Zootopia, even though the models have the code included to activate it.
@syntaxkt: I tried to get into Disney Infinity 2 but there seemed to be so little game there. I tried 3 and it didn't feel any better. They all seemed to rely too much on wanting to make your own levels while being a bit on the primitive side.
@stuff238: That's why I haven't bought The Division yet as I'm not about to pay full price for a game that I know will eventually become unplayable.
I did that once with The Crew and found that it sucked my enjoyment out of the game as I felt pressured to play the game, even when I didn't feel like it, to get my moneys worth out of it while the servers are still online.
@Foxhound71: Because this is not the first game to become completely unusable due to the online servers shutting down, but it is unusual in that its not even that old. Its also potentially expensive if you bought a lot of the characters.
Sure if you bought them physically you at least still have the physical models, which is all I really got it for. But on PC you could also buy character unlocks that were purely digital, so you end up with nothing.
@Itzsfo0:The first Harry Potter game on Playstation was actually quite fun, as were the LEGO Harry Potter games.
I also enjoyed the first three (I think) PC games as they were completely different to the console games, more based on exploration. I seem to recall the console games weren't too bad either though. Its the later games that I really couldn't get on with as they seemed to get more and more lazy with them.
The biggest let down of the Harry Potter games was not getting the original actors to voice them. Its amazing how many rough spots you can forgive if the characters look and sound right.
