@doctor_mg:

oh sure, it definitely is slightly more powerful. to argue against that would be ignorance at best.

but the only major upgrade the Switch has from the WiiU, is that it's capable of running the games of same graphical fidelity at higher resolutions, and maybe slightly better fps as well.

even games like Bayonetta 2, looks almost identical as it did on WiiU, the only difference is a sligthly more stable fps, it actually runs in 720p - docked! which says a lot about the Switch unfortunately.

@doctor_mg: actually, I think it's been shown that Switch is around 1,5 - 2 times more powerful than WiiU - a small and unsignificant step up in other words.

If Switch was significantly more powerful than WiiU, Botw would run in 1080p and 60fps. It is a huge open world yes, but uses simple textures and A LOT of pop-in and other tricks to make sure it stays at a stable 30 fps.

I'm not putting the game down by any means, as it's probably my favorite of all time, but rather showing how weak the Switch hardware truly is.

@reubensitos: I'm sure people are more upset over the fact that they probably have to pay full price for a lesser experience, when you can get the much better experience on Ps4 for about 15-20 bucks..

@lance182145231:

People should just stop with this "nintendo paid them off" mentality.. It simply isn't true.

What might happen however, is that Pro review sites like this, are influenced by a certain console's success, and might be somewhat afraid to voice their honest opinion, for fear of being verbally lynched by the masses..

@skyrimfall: well in his defense, people who work here at Gamespot are in fact gamers - just like you and I. So if they don't like a particular game, could be an indicator that many gamers in general won't like it either.

one of their jobs is to help assure us, as consumers, that the money we spend on games are well worth it.
