I've never played BF Heroes so can anyone tell me what the leveling & reawrd system is like? Also, why is everything so slow?

Since you have HL2 you might want to download the Dear Esther mod. I haven't played it myself but I've heard a lot of good things about it. I don't THINK it has any combat though, if that's a turn off.

Personally I care more about the art direction and how well the game is optimized.

[QUOTE="Baranga"]

Treyarch fully embraced the arcade nature of the game. It's not serious business anymore. I like that. Some people complain that many crosshairs, for example, aren't practical - but I think I'll have a bit of fun shooting people using a giant smiley face... Combined with the currency system, I'm sure customisation will be one of the best parts of the game.

They removed the gore in multiplayer because of console limitations, something about the memory not being enough to allow both gore and all those unique characters. I hope it can be enabled on PC. That's my only problem with customisation.

I thought you could only change your scope's "dot", not the actual crosshair. If you could though, it would be awesome. I wonder why don't more games do this? The only games that offically support this (that I know of lol) are Urban Terror and TF2.

I don't see why see why Halo shouldn't be on the PC just because there are better games already. There are (imo) better console games than Halo, does that mean Halo should exist at all?

But yeah, I'd probrably buy Reach if it were available on the PC.

Already knew about this but bump for those who don't. Also, Area 51 is seriously the worst game I've ever played in my life.

To be honest I didn't really like Bao Dur either. I didn't find him that useful of a squad member and his personality doesn't really stand out. I did like his Walton Simons voice though.

Mass Effect series.

Dragon Age is the most like it, though, what with the silent character. Just in a fantasy setting. As for KotOR, both games were phenomenal, but KotOR II was just unfinished, which is just a shame. I loved everything about both of them, but I highly recommend downloading Darth Stoney's TSLRCM Mod, which puts in a ton of content that was cut from the game (including a more satisfying ending that gives some actual closure [sort of]).

Thanks for the suggestions. I installed the TSLRCM mod but I still got the vanilla game ending for some reason. I didn't get to go to the HK factory either.
I've already played both Mass Effect games so I guess it's time to finish up Dragon Age.
