TP had a ton of exploration, and is (so much) better than this game even by today's standards of graphical quality etc. IMO. Both have a substantial and independent plot.

If you want to play both games, you can play them in any order. I'd suggest picking which game to play first based on whether you think you'll love/hate the motion controls of SS. If you love them, you might have difficulty playing a regular controller after you are used to them. If you hate them, then you'll love playing the regular controller...
