There is a growing call for ceasefire from world leaders, and pressure at home on governments who are supporting Israel's bombardment, and planned invasion. Hundreds of thousands are attending demonstrations, and we are seeing a drop in support for Israel’s actions. The UN Secretary-General
"I am deeply concerned about the clear violations of international humanitarian law that we are witnessing in Gaza."
Stating the obvious: that the Hamas attacks didn’t happen in a vacuum, while stating there is no justification for the terrorist acts broke some brains.
It would be a good time to contact your local government representative, and attend demonstrations for a ceasefire:

I've contacted mine, attended a protest the weekend just gone with over 100,000. The public pressure starts with citizens and it is being felt, even if parts of the media are resistant to anti-war sentiment. Collective punishment and forced displacement are war crimes, one only needs to delve a little into what’s happening on the ground in Gaza to see the horror visited upon the civilian population.
