First of all, no one can either believe in God or Science. You either believe in God or you don't. Science, by definition, is the study of the truth, therefore it is not your choice to believe in it or not. Science is not the antipode to God and the fact that there are plenty of religious scientists is one factor that can corroborate that fact.

Second, if you believe that the only thing that suggests the existence of an omnipotent being is biology then you are not looking hard enough. The fact that there is existence at all is what suggests the existence of a being which actualized it. If you studied genetics like I have then you will realize that the evolution of the biological workings of all sentient life into a cohesive form is no coindicence at all. It is a logical ineveitablity of chemical reactions perpetuated by energy from the sun in a habitable environment.

Personally, I am not sure of the existence of God. That is to say that I am not discrediting it as a possibilty. God can certainly exist.

Without life there would be no existence and it is impossible for there to be nothingness. The only existence is the experiences of any and all sentient life. So basically, there are two schools of thought on the subject: Either an omnipotent being actualized all the matter and engery that is everything or that  everything has always existed.

Both are perfectly logical possibilities and it is your choice to believe what helps you sleep at night. Just don't force your opinions on others and we will have some chance to achieve world peace. Although, the way things are going in the Middle East it's really not looking good. But hey, at least if we do bring about our own extinction (which is looking like it will happen in this century) then surely God will create a new Earth. Unless you believe what the Bible said about the end of the world and that the Earth will just end, we will all just go to our respective afterlife destination and this whole Earth thing was just God's wacky experiment and the only real existence is the afterlife.

Well, anyway I love you all as much as I love myself so that's what really matters in my version of extistence. I hope that scores me some points if the Bible was right.

[QUOTE="ROLFCHANK"]i want to see whats his names 40-page "thesis" on why gay marriage is going to lead to bestiality and child molestation. Bourbons3
so do I. It seems to be so widespread in support...

Bestiality and child molestation are sexual assault. Homosexuality is not sexual assault because both parties consent to it. The child does not want to be molested and is hurt. The animal does not want to be molested and is hurt. But the two homosexual people do want to engage in sexual congress with each other.

Of course homosexuality is a choice; everything you do in your life is a choice. But it's a choice based on one's sexual attraction to members of the same sex. If someone is not sexually attracted to members of the opposite sex then should they force themselves to live a heterosexual lifestyle or just abstain from any sexual activity altogether? Why shouldn't they be allowed to be happy just to placate the religious community? How does what they do affect anyone else but themselves? They don't stop you from being happy so why do you want to stop them from being happy?

Personally, I'm straight and I am not attracted to men in the least so I could never be gay The converse is true for gay people. I wouldn't want to force them to be straight anymore then I would want to be forced to be gay So to deny them equal rights is nothing but bigotry.

If you have ever taken a clase in Psychology, which I have, you would know that homosexuality is abnormal.  There is even a chapter on this abnormalty.  It list 7 reasons that this occurs in people.  I can't really think of all 7 but here is a few.

1.)  Bad hetrosexual experience.  Yes, a bad relationship with the opposite sex can turn someone gay Tons of medical study on this.

2.)  Long term exposure to the same sex.  Like as if you were in prison.  No women their to fill your needs so eventually you turn to the same sex to feel in your flesh lovin needs.

3.) Born with a low testosterone count.  Yes, being born with lack of this can influence a feminine nature.  Girl boy attitude.  Also with the lack of testosterone is the increasing amount of estergine that is mostly in women.

4.)  Raised by one parent.  Yes, if a child is raised by the opposite sex only they will mimic the traits of that one parent and act according.  This is why childerend need both a mother and father.  Example:  If a girl is raised by her father and he is a stern man.  She will be a stern woman and possibly carry manly traits which would make it hard for the girl to carry on relations with another man because she has the attitude of a man.  And hence carries on traits of daddies love for women.  Same goes for a woman taking care of a boy alone.  The mother will controur the boy to be submissive, like a woman, as he is raised.  He will only know woman like traits and hence act like a woman.  This of course is an abnormalty.  Research also backs this, look it up your self.

I wish I could remember the other three but can't right now.  But yes being homosexual is abnormal.  No species on earth can survive being of the same sex.  A sexual yes but not of the same sex.  As a human we can no impregnat ourselves we need something of the opposite sex to thrive in life.

Our childeren need the guidence of a mother and father.  Not the view point of two of the same sex.  Men and women are different creatures and an upbringing by them combined brings about a more completed individual in life.

Women carry emotions strong and sense, while men carry forward thinking and guidence.  If tow of the same sex join then they just butt heads, its that simple on top of the fact during Thankgiving dinner with your uncle and his boyfriend or your daughter and her girlfriend is going to be so comfortable any more.

Marriage is based on a holy UNION between a man, woman, and God.  This is the biggest Christian angle, that a court today has the power to turn this.  So now we live in a country were mans law is over turning Gods law.  We were put on this earth to be fruitful and multiply, not to fall in love with the same sex and stop mankind.

Whether you think that homosexuality is normal or not there is no denying that homosexuals are not going away and their presence has certainly not stopped humanity from multiplying.

After all the persecution they've have suffered and after all the attempts that we have tried to eradicate the notion of homosexuality by systematically killing them or locking them up in prison simply for being born they just seem to keep being born.

And given the fact the many countries around the world still sentence homosexuals to death or lock them up for life simply because they are not attracted to the opposite sex, maybe it is a good idea to just live and let live for the sake of benevolence.

The fact that homosexuals have existed since the beginning of time and the fact that we have overpopulated the Earth has certainly proven that what they do is their own business and will not doom humanity to extinction.

Because it is unnatural. It wasn't intended by God/nature, which is why homosexuals can't procreate. Furthermore, there is no such thing as bisexual. You're either homosexual or heterosexual murlow12

Homosexuals can't procreate and yet they continue being born. Sure seems like it is a natural occurrence to me, especially considering that homosexuality has been documented among many animal species.

The reason that homosexuality has garnered so much oppression over the ages is because most people assume that it is a choice that certain people make. The notion that a heterosexual person can make the decision to defy his/her natural sexual impulses and force themselves to stop being attracted to members of the opposite sex makes no logical sense at all, as it is not possible.

Everything about us is based upon a choice of dominant and recessive alleles in our genetic make-up. I theorize that homosexuals take on the traits of a hypothetical recessive sexuality allele whose purpose is to keep certain members of an animal species from procreating to keep the population of that species in check.

When you consider the fact that many homosexuals have committed suicide because they lived in a society that didn't allow them to be sexually active with other homosexuals you may come to the realization that it can not be a choice because no person would kill themselves if they were, in fact, straight and chose to be gay they would simply go on with being straight.

So seeing as how they are people and they didn't choose to be attracted to members of the same sex then like all people they should be treated with same equality to which all people are entitled. That is why countries like the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Canada have made same sex common law marriage legal.

Personally I love every single person in the world like my own child so obviously I wish for everyone to be happy and not be driven to suicide by a discriminating ego mass that demands conformity.

Can't we all just get along?

Thank you for your suggestions, I appreciate that.

However, I still don't think that the entire blog should get deleted just because the editor detected an unfinished HTML. Hopefully this is just a glitch and if it gets fixed soon I'll be very appreciative.

I just spent over an hour typing up a long, well thought-out blog to submit as my next editorial for the Soapbox. I wrote it, revised it, read over it several times, and had it worded just the way I wanted...then I click "submit" and I am dismayed to find that my entire blog is deleted with some message that says "your HTML is not well-formed, please check for unclosed tags."

Please check for unclosed tags? My entire blog got deleted how am I supposed to check for anything?

I've encountered this problem before when trying to submit a blog but this is the first time that my entire blog got deleted.

I would really appreciate it if this problem is addressed as soon as possible.

Can someone please tell me what "unclosed tags" are?
