First of all, no one can either believe in God or Science. You either believe in God or you don't. Science, by definition, is the study of the truth, therefore it is not your choice to believe in it or not. Science is not the antipode to God and the fact that there are plenty of religious scientists is one factor that can corroborate that fact.
Second, if you believe that the only thing that suggests the existence of an omnipotent being is biology then you are not looking hard enough. The fact that there is existence at all is what suggests the existence of a being which actualized it. If you studied genetics like I have then you will realize that the evolution of the biological workings of all sentient life into a cohesive form is no coindicence at all. It is a logical ineveitablity of chemical reactions perpetuated by energy from the sun in a habitable environment.
Personally, I am not sure of the existence of God. That is to say that I am not discrediting it as a possibilty. God can certainly exist.
Without life there would be no existence and it is impossible for there to be nothingness. The only existence is the experiences of any and all sentient life. So basically, there are two schools of thought on the subject: Either an omnipotent being actualized all the matter and engery that is everything or that everything has always existed.
Both are perfectly logical possibilities and it is your choice to believe what helps you sleep at night. Just don't force your opinions on others and we will have some chance to achieve world peace. Although, the way things are going in the Middle East it's really not looking good. But hey, at least if we do bring about our own extinction (which is looking like it will happen in this century) then surely God will create a new Earth. Unless you believe what the Bible said about the end of the world and that the Earth will just end, we will all just go to our respective afterlife destination and this whole Earth thing was just God's wacky experiment and the only real existence is the afterlife.
Well, anyway I love you all as much as I love myself so that's what really matters in my version of extistence. I hope that scores me some points if the Bible was right.
