Well after watching the press conferences (two live) and pretty much the whole day of GS' live stream, even though I'm still console-less, a few games managed to stand out to me. I liked Microsoft's press conference the most, even though Sony's had a really nice high def feed, there were more games showcased on the 360 that I want to play. Games like Asssassin's Creed, Bioshock and Mass Effect.
I know, Bioshock and Assassin;s Creed are coming to PS3 too, but I'd still get a 360 over a PS3, due to price, and the amount of role playing games coming out for it. Sony didn't show off near enough role playing game goodness to get me excited, and Nintendo? Um...nevermind. Wii Fit? Sure , its innovative, but I wouldnt touch it with a ten foot wii pole. I'm not even sure Blizzard could have saved the wii this time, even if they announced a wii exclusive world of warcraft port, and renamed it World of Wiicraft =P
Oh! I dont know if any of you watched the GS stream with all the developers, but I was in the chat and I submitted a question in the box and Jody asked it ! yay! It was when the dude from Wild Arms 5 was on stage! That was kinda neat! Next best thing to being there I suppose.
Most of the execs/devs that were at the GS booth were a bit stiff, for being a fun gaming event and all, but the dude who brought Fracture, he seemed like a nice guy. I'm not into those kinds of games, really, but Fracture reminded me of the old game Red Faction, only with a lot more terrain manipulation. Definitely neat.
The other game that stood out, was Victorius Boxers for the wii. It had a kind of pseudo Punch Out thing going for it. Plus it was kind of funny watching dudes box with the wii controller.
In other gaming news, I downloaded the new Command and Conquer 3 demo from GS, and while I havent played a C and C game since the first one, it really wasnt a bad game, for a demo. Really nice video and graphics. I'll have to try Overlord next.
Well hope you guys are enjoying E3 too!!
