Politicians

Where do politicians get off CENSORING things. With the recent "San Andreas" attack, I often wonder why we even have ratings. For anyone under 18 to have a game like this is obsurded. It is obviously an ADULT game and should be marketed and sold to adults only. This senator needs to get a life, or play some video games and see what they're all about.

Grrrr!!! Norton has serious issues.

After one of my recurring late-night trips to Wal-Mart I proceeded to install the newest addition to my collection, Empire Earth Gold Edition. Granted, I have played Age of Empires and the multitude of other titles Microsoft puts out that are the same thing only repackaged with new characters, but I had always heard things about Empire Earth, and for $20 including an expansion, why not?

When I got home, I opened my EE package and was in awe at the sheer amount of literature that was supplied, including an Prima guide (awesome). So I proceeded with installing EE with no problems. Closed most of my background apps (Trillian, Outlook, etc.) and loaded the game. Loaded with no problems, clicked through some menus without any hassle, until I actually went to start a Campaign or Random Map game. When I clicked those buttons I was greeted with a frozen computer. Granted I couldn't tell at first whether it was frozen or just taking a long time to load, but sure enough it froze. After several restarts, I began looking around for some patches. So, I patched all the way to 2.0. Loaded the game, clicked through the menus and still, my computer froze.

At this point I was quite angry, wondering if I had just thrown $20 away. But I kept fiddling and remembered that things seems to load slower (especially Adobe products) when I have Norton AV set to Auto Protect. To make a long story short, had to disable Auto Protect for both Norton AV and Internet Security to get the game to work. What a crock.
