ok my view and its big. no1 ppl who are getting the first DX10 are mistaken i would wait no point of getting a card highly specific to DX10 when 90%of games in 2007 and most of 2008 will still be DX9. and by then the DX10 cards will be doubly better for half the price. take my advise buy now for the best of DX9 and then 2/3 years down the line when there are actaully more games for DX10 than DX9 then upgrade. no point of waiting 6to 7mounths for vista to come out then waiting for 2/3 years for games to completly convert to DX10 member these new DX10 cards may have problem with DX9 games and they havent been out yet . games like tiberium sun 3/ medieval 2 total war/ lots more ( as u see i am mostly interested in startegy) will be out for DX9 not DX10 so whats the point of waiting for DX10. Vista can be a complete dissipoitment we dont know. there is a saying i know Pc nerds know them. " if there is no problem, then its not worth fixing" i.e meaing if Xp works fine whats the point of changing when only 1 game is coming out for DX10 LOL. hope u read this and tell me what u thinks thanks :)

hi, number 1, no graphics card has shader level 4 yet because its only be compaible with DX10 which isnt out yet. number 2 the ATI Radeon x1950XTX is a good GFX card and i would understand why some1 would get it, ill tell you even when windows vista and DX10 card do come it will take at leats 2-3 years for most of games to switch to DX10 capabilities therefore DX9 games will still be around for a very long time and by two years time there will probably be 5 times the better DX10 cards then, than what would be coming out with the launch of Vista and probably cheaper. i got the 7900GTX 2-3 months ago and havent looked back, probably play most if not all DX9 games from medium to high GFX settings and thats fine. probably upgrade in two years time due to the fact already Awsome games are coming out for DX9 like tiberium sun 3 and medieval 2 total war thats gonna keep me busy and only 1 for DX10 which is crysis and nothin special to be honest trust 2 years time is the time to upgarde not now. my advise is buy now to play the best DX9 games then in 2 years time upgarde to vista and DX10 when u are confident the cards then are going to be working well and better than the new ones coming out in 7 month time ppl are saying no point of upgrading now cause DX110 are coming out, well i say there is little or no games out for DX10 anyway and the cards you get when Vista comes out will be rubish compared in two years time when DX10 will be more serious
