Maybe try keeping most of your picutres you take on there with an sd card, I save most of mine on the sd card. I never have a problem with my dsi dying, I use it all the time on the brightess settings and I use head phones. I don't know if it makes a big difference in the battery life or not though.

I agree, since I got my dsi the first night it came out, I got the free dsi points and I got wario ware touched. I have been able to play it twice, the game doesn't recognize me at all, no matter what the light is. My walls are white and my skin is very light so it doesn't seem to see me, unless I put on someone's beanie. I am glad I didn't have to pay for the game myself. Every one else thinks it is cute and fun and it is the first thing they do with my dsi after playing with the camera for a hour. Every time someone plays with my dsi they take a picture of my lava lamp in every color they can change it too, lol.
For my old ds I used a plastic knitting needle from my interchangable circular knitting needle kit, because they don't sell those old stylus anymore, but I have the dsi now
For when I lose mine sometimes I just grab a business card and fold the corner so it is thick and I use that to tap the screen to the start menu and then select my game on my dsi menu screen. It doesn't work that very well, lol.
