[QUOTE="FoxbatAlpha"]

I say go for it. Dump that PS3 in a river and start something new.

I love XBL over PSN.

The 360 controller is way better and your hand wont feel like its going to snap off after 20 minutes of play.

If you are into shooters your switch will be worth it.

Last, I would buy a console just for one game. I even did one better and built a $1400 PC just to play ARMA 2 and dont care if another game ever gets loaded on to it. Its your cash, use it when you want.

dont listen to this person. Every sentence he said is false .

Nope, it's just "false" for you. If my favorite game was only on a particular console, I'd by the console. That's me. And that's not "false" for me. Not everyone has your budget. Not everyone has mine.

In no way is any console worth a full purchase for the sake of one game. In any situation.

8.5. If Deus Ex couldn't get a 9 no way Dark Souls will. Gears 3 will be the only game to score 9.5 this year because that game is masterfully crafted. Dark Souls may score a 9 max but no way above that.Biohazard93
Nonsense.

A shame they didn't release a demo. I've to decide whether to buy this game or not based on the reviews.

If you base your decisions to buy games on reviews (like I do quite often), then get your money ready and prepare to die.

I bought RE4 HD for PS3 to play this week before Dark Souls hits next week. Despite how much I loved the original when it came out on the 'Cube, I must sadly admit, that I am severely disappointed with RE4 HD's controls. I forgot how awful they are. I probably will not be playing it much this week as I planned, and likely won't touch it after next Tuesday. :'(

... i have lost all insterst even in Skyrim with Dark Souls

...

I have to admit that I have cancelled not 1, but 3 fully paid pre-orders thanks to Dark Souls. The good news is I just saved $180+ bucks. The even better news is, uh, Dark Souls.

I truly believe this game will receive a 10/10, not only at Gamespot, but on several review sites. There are some unique things happening during the review process of this game that I have never heard of. Several competing media outlets are working together to beat the game during their review process due to the lack of a substantial online counterpart. There is a shared excitement about the game and not only Gamespot, but other outlets have "review diaries" in the works. There is a buzz surrounding this game that feels special and probably warranted. Dark Souls looks phenomenal and we, as gamers should be thrilled that a game is coming our way that generates hype, buzz and excitement not only in the fanboys, but in editors. After all, we're all kids at heart, why else play video games? So, Dark Souls getting a 10/10 would be a good thing for gaming. If you disagree, then fine, that's your prerogative. No need to squash other people's excitement over a game. I for one was thrilled to hear Kevin's enthusiasm!
