@k2theswiss No sony does not own bluray alone but they are one of the key developers (with philips and pioneer and panasonic) and sit on the board of directors. They own the majority of patents for the technology. "Sony holds the most patents related to the disc design structure which potentially will garner them the highest profits on the technology. Where Panasonic gets paid for every player sold, Sony gets paid for every disc produced. Per unit they get less, but overall they will get more." Bluray will obviously get licensed to MS, there is no reason not to, its all about money and more blurays mean more money for the owners. Sony even owns picture companies and those would benefit too.
Wait so a 5770 beat a 5830, unlikely and a GTX 260 and 4870 which are on par with the 5770 yet getting almost half the FPS than the 5770??? Stupid benchmark, the 5770 was obviously meant to be the 5850 and that is without taking into account that the 5750 is above the GTX 280..........Do gamespot know what they are doing? My god the whole thing is a mess, i suggest that gamespot sack who ever was in charge of this and stop pretending that they know "PCs" by benchmarking a game which doesn't need it, why not do it for a game which does like bad company 2 which had the new engine and revolutionary graphics. They should hire me, im looking for a career change.
