Hello- Our XBOX has been banned FOREVER from XBOX LIVE. We have not had any complaints(if so, not many because we have never heard anything). I've ask why several times but have only been told they do not disclose the information as to why but leaned toward saying our XBOX has been modified in some way. We have never EVER mofified our system. We bought our system brand new and haven't done a thing to it!! The only thing that we can think of is several months back ( maybe even a year) my son was playing call of duty with someone he doesn't even know who said he wasn't very good (he was only 10 ) and said they could make him better. They did something that put him at a much higher level and gave him a lot more guns. I'm sure this was some kind of hacker, but my son didn't think of that at the time, he was just glad to be moved up. I'm not sure this is the reason but it's the only thing we can think of. Has anyone else been banned for something like this? I don't see how someone hacks our account and we're banned?? Also, I've called support about the issue and was told that only the console was banned and he could take the harddrive to another xbox and play. That sould totally wrong to me because it was the account that was hacked/ modified not our xbox and allowing the account to stay online would be allowing him to keep the modified acct- if I understood correctly. I'm very confused and upset because it sounds to me that they just want us to buy another xbox. It seems the account should have been banned ,and if they checked which I know they can , they would see that someone had hacked our account that they should be protecting. I have went as far as to offer to pay for any xbox employee to come to my house and check our box just to prove they are wrong. I did let them know I will dispute the issue and they said they will look into it. Has anyone been banned for getting their account hacked by someone else? Do you think they could see that someone else did this?
