A boy looks down the scope of a sniper rifle
though his father only sees a branch.
The boy speeds driving down the road on his motorcycle
his father only sees him driving his bike down the hill.
Now the boy and his friends are soldiers
his father only sees his son and friends with walkie talkies.
The boy is older now... much older... about 19.
He sees himself as a soldier
his father sees him as an honor but also a fool.
The boy is now a man and he has a family
his father sees the same.
The man now sees his father talking to no one
his father is talking to people from his dreams.
The man now sees his father yelling and screaming at nothing
his father sees the worrys and pains of his past.
The man now crys outside a door
his father sees his life flash before his eyes.
The man and his children now weep at a stone.
His father now lives in the mountain with his wife
and his friends, they live together happy and look down
at their children and await them.
This world they live has come from thier mind
where their imagination soars.
So never say no to the imagination of a person,
for that is like taking their very essence, because
without it we will never know what lays before us,
and we will always see the same picture and the same person,
we will never see beyond their face.
We will never see a true friend or our brother or sister that
has become our brother and sister not by blood but by love.
