im replaying pool of radiance mythdrannor and its fun in its own way ,yet it sux comparred to baldors or even icewinddale. ive playe ad&d style games since the 1st pool came out on the commador128 and i just have never seen any company get it so right as the baldors gate game series. i think other companys just try to do the games as something new and really have no idea how real role playing goes. i get that electrionic play will never be like player to player role playing . though in baldors gate and icewind dale you kinda got that real feeling . is it just me or did it seem the designers had a true feeling for how it was to play the orginal board style of ad&d game play? well if you like reply bye.
hi my question is about the game (on pc) pool of radiance (ruins of mythdrannor). i em playing the game and i do not have a rule manual. my mage has a intellagence of 21+ and wisdom of 16 or 17.the problem is she(mage) will level up and be offered new spells for her book except after i choose the new spell it is added to my book but hen i get into combat i cant use the new spells. also i will go along and all of a sudden i can use more of my spells. my mage is lvl 12 but i can only cast lvl 3 spells (fireball). my book shows i have learned spell like fogkill and chainlighting, and yet on my 4th, 5th and 6th lvl spells in my book it says availble spells to learn at any of those levels is 0(zero)? very odd huh. is there something you need to do to get your mage to be able to use new spells? at first i couldnt use my 2nd or 3rd lvl spells either but they just started working and if i did something i dont know what lol. if theres a person i need to vist to activate the spells i cant think who i visted that made my 2nd and 3rd lvl spells work. o' well ty for any help later all
yea me again heres new thought. if some1 has the game can u pls look in the manual and just post the key/keys that rotate the party on the world map ? its very hard to play from 1 angle. ty
hi i know this is a old game. ive gotten it from a friend and its a version with no rules. i just need to know if u can rotate your characters/party? if so how ive looked all over the intro net and cant find any info. ty ps.......... the keys i use is all im looking for ...........this is for the pc/windows
