well if it's a game that I know is going to be good regardless of patches (witcher 2) i'll buy it day one. but honestly I haven't really even played the witcher past the prologue, I want to wait until they roll out some optimization/bug fix patches before I'm ready to play through it.

wow good thing i came across this thread, i mean i can't even put in my serial key, it's got the "small text" problem. but seeing that everyone else is having issues i'll just wait for a patch to fix all these activation/performance issues. damnit though, i was reallllly looking to pour the rest of my evening/night into this game.

edit: oh well, I guess it's time to watch the dev diary dvd :D and read the user manual XD

Anyone hear anything about an update to fix all the bugs and glitches? Im trying to finish up "Justice" quest in act 3 where I have to talk to Anders in his clinic, but it won't go into the whole conversation mode to begin the quest. Among many other bugs i frequently run into, like the popup when i start up the game that says wrong drive or whatever. too many freezes and crashes too. bioware needs to hurry these up, the quest bug is stopping me from completing the game. I want to know what level were you guys when you completed the story? i'm about level 18, 30 hours into the game. Was just trying to see how much longer I have left. ( I know im in act 3)

Here's what they sent me.

Ok so i backed up the eidos folder where the saved game files and other misc files are. I installed a new OS.(from 32 bit to 64 bit of windows 7) Installed the game, and I put the backed up folder in the correct spot (my docs), loaded up the game and it won't recognize them! It just asks me to start a new game. So i did, let it recreate the eidos folder, and swapped the contents and unsuccessfully loaded the saved game. Didn't even recognize it, just like before.

Now i sign into gfwl profile fine!

does anyone know what to do, i just really want to finish this game... from where i left off.

(i emailed support and it they give me the correct fix i'll post it on here for someone else who may have this problemo.

ok cause when i go to add persona and i type in my gamertag, it says its already associated, so its definitly going to be a tech call. thanks for your all the info tho!

so should i call bioware or ea?
