On Friday night, Dark Souls II was announced for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, but not the Wii U. Now, gamers have launched an online petition at Change.org to bring the role-playing game to Nintendo's first high-definition console. It has netted 3,204 signatures thus far.

Dark Souls II will also be "more straightforward and more understandable," according to new director Tomohiro Shibuya.

Dark Souls II was announced at least 4 months ago, and we've known the platforms for just as long since the website was up and showing them at the bottom of the page.

Nothing was announced on friday, they reveal gameplay footage, that is not an announcement, they also did a Q&A with IGN that cleared up that they didn't actually mean easier, just to give more focus to the core concepts of the game.

Harder initial difficulty - DeS made you work for some of the bosses, and didn't always make it immediately obvious how to kill something.  DkS went to the typical American philosophy of 'Hit the part that's obviously different to the point where it may as well have a target painted on'.  I know it doesn't matter for NG+ and on, but that initial feeling of dread was one of the better points of DeS that remains superior to DkS.

This is Hilarious because Demons Souls gives away more of the game than Dark Souls ever did.

you spend the last moments of 1-1 fighting monsters that make it clear that they are seperate to the actual boss.

the camera focuses on the feet of the boss in 1-2

Dragon God fight is basically given away at 2-3.

the Adjudicator in 4-1 has sound clues and a gigantic piece of blade stuck into him, also I'm pretty sure the cutscene has a slight focus on the bird.

The hardest part of Demons Souls is getting to the bosses, which is more effort than it sounds, The hardest part of Dark Souls is defeating the bosses.

Except PDZ was great when the Xbox 360 released and didn't last more than 2 years. neither did kameo, but both were fantastic to play at the time.
