I have recently started playing through Halo 3 again about 3 months after I initially completed the game. For some reason I have really really been enjoying the game - not that I didn't enjoy playing it through the first time.

I think the first time I played it I did it 'properly'... that is, taking it pretty slowly, waiting for the marines/arbiter to catch up and take on the enemy as a team etc. I think that was because I wanted to be sure I got the full 'experience' of the game without missing anything that was supposed to happen, scripted events etc.

The second time through I have just been really getting stuck into the battles, charging miles ahead of the marines especially in the vehicle levels going nuts and just enjoying the random things that can happen in the game (grenades :twisted:). I know the story/cutscenes etc so I have just really been enjoying the gameplay.

Anyway, my question to eveyone is this: What games have you found significantly better or worse on the second play and why...

Definately Oblivion. I got that the day it came out and still haven't completed it. Soooo many side quests and once you finish the game you can do it all again using a different race. Im thinking Fallout 3 might be the same.

Halo 3 for its cinematic-ness

Gears of War for its epic-ness

Vegas for its realistic-ness present day-ness

very hard to predict but i vote Too Human - looks amazingly ambitious and it is a fresh new series, new world, new characters etc
