Best RPGs So Far

I'm a big RPG fan (BTW i'm a fan of every genre) so i decided to give a small review of current best RPGs we have on the consoles. During the past 3 years alot of RPGs have been released but very few attained the status of one of the best, so i have chosen six RPGs as the current best. So lets start with our RPG ride. RPGs mentioned are in alphabetical order.

Demon's Souls:

Demon's Souls is an exclusive PS3 RPG. It tells a story of a kingdom called Boletaria which is infested with a soul devouring demon, called the Old One, and his minions. DS is one of the toughest and hardest RPG you will ever play. Death is easy and repetitive. Building the stats is slow but progressive. Stats are improved with the souls of demons you slice. One thing which is unique to DS is co-op play where you can be joined by others to fight along with you. Players can also leave notes, at locations where you want them, for others players and help them. Your notes can be rated by other players. DS have a unique gameplay and is a tough but rewarding game.

Dragon Age: Origins:

Dragon Age: Origins tells the story of a land called Ferelden which is invaded by demonic creatures called the Darkspawn. One can be a Dwarf to start the story or a Mage, or a Human. At one single time there can be four different characters in your party and you can control all of them during the battle. DAO have the best story and voice acting. Battles are swift but thrilling. An excellent RPG.

Eternal Sonata:

Eternal Sonata was released one year later on PS3 after the release on X360. Eternal Sonata is about a composer called Frederic Chopin and his six friends. They fight against an evil ruler called Count Waltz. Graphics are marvelous and music is the strength of this game. Battles are timed so you have to attack or cast spell within a specific time bar for that character. Battles are fast and thrilling. An exceptional RPG.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion:

ESO takes place in the fantasy land of Tamriel. Its a world which is full of immersive gameplay and quests. You start off by choosing one of the typical fighters like soldiers, thief, in any RPG and then select the gender and race. First person view is the default view. Music is also the best part in this RPG. Graphics are excellent and breathtaking.

Fallout 3:

Fallout3 story takes place in Washington DC in the year 2277 after a nuclear breakout. People are living in a construction to protect themselves called Vaults. Main character is living in Vault 101 with his father but then his father left to explore the world outside the Vault. Main character follow him to the world outside the Vault. First person and Third person views are available. Gameplay is easy to pick up and graphics are excellent considering the wasteland.

Valkyria Chronicles:

VC's story takes place in Gallia, which is a centre-point for the battle between East European Imperial Alliance and The Atlantic Federation. Main character is Welkin who fight for Gallia along with his squad, the Squad-7. Graphics are exceptional. Its like water color painting in motion. Sound track is the best. Gameplay is unque to VC as it combines gameplay of turn-based RPG with Third-person Shooter. An RPG so beatifully crafted. Indeed one of the best.

Help please

Can somebody help me with this thing. Whenever i'll write a blog with pics in it and i'll try to submit it, the GS site will not accept it giving the error code-HTML CODE ERROR. WTF is this error and how can i get rid of it. Please help.

My Most Anticipated Games of 2010

2009 was a great year for the gaming industry. We saw the release of lot of new and excellent games particularly in the last quarter. I enjoyed 2009 more than any year in terms of gaming. I bought and played games from Killzone2 in February 2009 to Assassin's Creed2 in November 2009. But 2010 looks to be more gametastic. Excellent games coming our way and following are the games i'm most interested in. Final FantasyXIII. RPG games over the course of past few years have evolved tremendously and thanks to Final Fantasy and Square-Enix, gamers are now buying more RPG games. Final FantasyXIII is recently released in Japan and got high sale marks. I'm eagerly waiting for this game as it will be a first Final Fantasy game on PS3. Battlefield: Bad Company2. BFBC was the first FPS i played in my gaming history and the first i played online. It was an amazing experience. I played for 350+ hours online and still playing it. I recently played the Beta version of BFBC2 and i must tell you that its mind-blowing. Graphics are superb and gameplay is totally different from any FPS out in the market. I'm buying this game for sure. God Of War3. I never have played God of War series before untill recently. I had the pleasure of buying and playing GOW collection. I have never experienced a game of this class before. It was a wonderful experience. I have become a fan of this series after playing the first game only. Even though it is remastered for PS3, graphics are still noticeable and gameplay is easy to pick-up. Its a must buy for me. Bioshock2. Bioshock was a huge success. It was a FPS which set the standards apart from other FPS. It was like a child of FPS and TPS. It was a concept never achieved by any other game. Environment was so tense and creepy. I'm still playing this game and want Bioshock2 dearly. So this concludes my list. Thank you.

2010 The New Year

As we have stepped into a new decade and a new year, i would like to say HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010 to all my friends and all the GameSpotters. May this year brings alot of happiness and joy to this world and their inhabitants. Wish you all a happy and fun EXTREME GAMING year 2010.

Bad Game.

In this time of third generation game consoles and their highly worked on video games, gamers tends to have a lot of options in different game genres. And gamers including myself buy or rent a lot of games. But despite so well informed by the game reviews and internet search options, one still manage to get a game that hurts badly. After playing for the first 15-30 minutes, you know you have made your day. So then what to do with that game. If you've rented it then your in LUCK dude. Just bring it back to the shop shelves. And if you have bought the game then your in LUCK too as one can have a lot of options such as:

1. TRASH BIN:

Sounds good. You never get to see that game again (feels good). But then what about the money you've spent. It will be lost forever. So this option is only for games with a GS score of 1 or 2. Get rid of them as soon as possible.

2. PHONE CALL:

Call the customer care service line of the developer or publisher. Try to arrange an alternative game developed by the same developer in exchange for the one you own. But the best one can do here is to curse THEM.

3. SELL IT:

Of course you can sell that game. There are buyers just like the original buyer ;). Sell it to some friend or neighbour perhaps. What on earth is eBay for.Listing the good qualities of the game (if any). You will be in LUCK again if someone buys it in this era of game search on internet.

4. PLAY IT:

Play the game to the ending and try to get the Platinum trophy. One can then show off to others as despite the game being unplayable i manage to get the platinum.

5. GIFT IT:

Remember that dude at the school you hated most. Well your in LUCK again as his birthday is fast approaching.

6. EXCHANGE:

You can exchange that game with your friends temporarily or permanently (friend you made my day). But in some cases you can brighten up your friends day as he also wanted to get rid of some of HIS GOOD GAMES.

7. CHARITY:

Well you can give that game to the charity and some poor lad will play it, if that poor lad can afford the console too.

8. COLLECTION:

Keep it in your collection and never play it again.

Toooo Old

I played video games on different systems in my childhood some of which i dont even know the name of. But the one i played most in my young age was Sega Genesis. Games i liked to play was mortal kombat (I or II i dont remember) and Street fighter. Then i bought myself PSX in 1997. That was truly the best gaming era for me. I played a lot of great games including FF7, FF8, Tekken 2 & 3and Tomb Raider. My father would yell at me saying that my video game days are gone and im now too old for playing video games.

Now ten years later i bought myself PS3 and i love playing video games on my PS3. In my opinion nowadays more games are being releasedwhich are M-rated. On top of that some games are too tough for a child to play. Consider games like GTA4, Battlefield: bad company (online), SF4 (online). When im back home from my hectic job, i find playing video games quite relaxing, even though my fingers are now quite sticky.

So the point is that IS THERE ANY AGE LIMIT FOR PLAYING VIDEO GAMES. In my opinion there should not be any limit. I would like to play video games with my children and probabaly if i live long enough with my grandchildren. I enjoy playing video games and probably will never stop playing them. What doyou think guys?

Sad & Gloomy

I was playing video games with full dedication and vigor but suddenly i was shocked by two things. And every thing just turned so sad and gloomy for me.

One obviously is the death of KOP-Michael Jackson. As i was stunned by this news. Unbelievable. I can't imagine that he's no more with us. I got very sad and i even stopped playing video games.

On top of that i had my car BUMPED at the back by another car. I was parked at the signal waiting for it to open and suddenlyBANG that car hit mine at the back. Mine was a 4-month old new NISSAN ALTIMA 2009 model. I was so sad and angry. But after a meeting with insurance guy i'm a bit relaxed now.

Started playing video games AGAIN.

Battlefield

After playing BF:BC for 3 consecutive days with sore eyes, i finally manage to get my rank up to 3000 points. Yeah 3 consecutive days. No other duty or work just playing BF:BC. I enjoyed it i must say.
