I am looking at the publishers who could potentially be giving us true creative marvels but know it isn't the easiest way to make money. This game is the same as previous ones, so whatever, but again, I am remarking on the fact that they claimed this one was going to be innovative and would also push graphical boundaries, but did neither.
They said those things because they know people will blindly buy into the advertisements no matter what. I am not expecting much different out of the series so much as I am sick of seeing a website like gamespot demean itself by overpraising it for not doing anything new and even failing to deliver what was expected and sick of seeing the big publishers winning every frickin time for the past 6-7ish years.
That is fine, play what you like, but this review was not honest. And the PC version is barely playable, while the gameplay itself is no different than before. If you don't mind being apart of the same crowd that would buy the new madden every year from EA, then more power to you, but I am sick of seeing big publishers getting away with this crap.
I want to see quality like we saw 8-15 years ago, not this idea that recycling games is acceptable.
WOW, this is sad day for me. My family and I have used this site for a decade (perhaps longer) and I have never seen such a disgusting review in my life of gaming. They lied through their teeth in this one and truly showed us that money > actual game value.
This game is terrible. The graphics are no better than before. I don't even care about graphics much, but the gameplay IS the same. What is the point of this game? I know the answer; it is money and the PC version was to make a quick buck before the consoles launch. It is a slap in the face to PC gamers and a large disappointment to console gamers. No party wins in this situation.
Gamespot, please get your act together and allow people to give honest reviews. Enough of this bull crap.
The same desktop could be custom built for 700-800 dollars if you wanted a good monitor. Hard for me to be amazed over a powerful laptop when it is obvious now days that it doesn't cost anywhere near that amount to put it together.
You do have a point, but windows 7 and beyond auto updates everything upon windows installation when you first hit the desktop, and nvidia provides an automatic driver updater if you so choose. Other than that, there isn't much to worry about. Especially since defrags are on restart.
The only thing you have to do is get an antivirus and not click on random ads on a website, and your PC will be fine. Registry scans are usually needed if you play/install a rather large amount of games, in which case you are probably dedicated enough to learning how to download something like CCleaner.
Well the 'golden' years of pc gaming were from 1997 to about 2004ish. Ever since then, aside from big MMO's like WoW, you really don't see any great games for it anymore that aren't ports from consoles themselves. Even skyrim from bethesda who use to be exclusively PC games, switched to making console games which are then ported to PC.
Well, the 2 main things holding people back were not knowing how to properly build a pc and the price range. With the system being 600 bucks, it means there is now only one thing holding people back, as you can custom build a PC for 450-550 bucks that can run modern games. A lot more people now days know how to do this as well.
Um, I agree lol. Not in the least trying to defend Nintendo for their choices. I am just a fan of the NES, SNES, N64 and even the Gamecube. The entirety of my posts actually were bashing Nintendo to begin with. I want good games, not crappy side projects or remakes.
