Been way too long since my last update. Bought and traded several games. Finished FFXII and moved on to a few others. Picked up a copy of .Hack GU and while it is nothing terribly new over the other .Hack games, it does have my attention right now. On occasion, I will put in Warriors Orochi or Soul Calibur III just to kick some bad guys, but those two are pretty well maxed out. Might be the not-yet-spring-weather blues. In any case, still alive and still playing games. Or watching anime... or games turned in to anime... or playing anime turned in to games...

Finished Valkyrie Profile 2 - but went back to finish off the Gate.

But I have been distracted by Warriors Orochi. First off.. I do like it - BUT I hate some of the voices they used for SW characters. Enough for me to not to play that character. I think it is way too short and in that aspect disappointing. I have unlocked every level, gained almost every character and don't care about the rest, and I keep wondering if I missed something. I also wonder how the heck everyone is going to get back home?

Summer has arrived... hot. Working outside on gardens and activities that go late in to the night hours when still light outside. Have managed to do some gaming. Almost finished Samurai Warriors 2 - need a few more final weapons and one person to clear. Picked up Crimson Sea and that turned out better than I thought it would be, but not great. Otherwise, nothing new and exciting to really report. Was considering a vacation, but with the gasoline prices better off just staying close to home or not go anywhere at all. Maybe should spend that money on some new games, take my PS2 outside and call that a vacation.

I finally picked up Samurai Warriors 2 from my local EB Games - along with a trade in of a bunch of games that I could not stand any more.  But, so far so good on the game.  I really like the animation and the new characters are interesting, or at least the ones I hit so far.  And while I realize that the games are based on a historical and written history, it would be nice to see a real part 2 to the Dynasty/Samurai series.  Something of a 'what happens next when the country is unified yet there are small pockets of rebellion' sort of stuff.

 

Can't believe it is February already.  Cold outside so playing a lot of games inside.  Finished Kingdom Hearts II, little disappointed.  Not as good as the first, but I did enjoy it overall.  Animation was very nice.  Just working my way around to try for the elusive "perfect score."  Doubt I will make it.

Which takes me back to playing Dynasty Warriors 5 Extreme.  OK, this series of games is a serious repeat of the same stuff over and over but I am hooked. 

Need to save up my money and get a better video card for my one year old computer - sheesh, now there is a racket for us poor gamers.  Computer was out of date the minute I got it home and a year later cannot even play the games that I want it to.

Guess that is why I had to work during January.
