@swiftsails: It's 50/50 for me. I liked Kubrik's movie because Jack Nicholson, but hated the ending. The TV adaptation stayed closer to the book, but less scary, (had the better ending though).
@cornbredx: Just because SK is taking back the rights to his books, that doesn't mean he's going to be directing anything. It probably just gives him more control over who can work on these projects, and probably gives him more say-so on how the adaptations are handled, (hate all these watered down versions of his books).
@BrokutheMighty: What's with all the anger? I imagine a big vein pulsing in the middle of your forehead while you furiously slammed out this message on your keyboard with your meatpaws, (what did that poor keyboard ever do to you)?
