It is finally time for the World Series again. I almost always watch the World Series but this year will be one of those special years again. The Cardinals are back in it. Almost everyone said they were not good enough this year and that they would be booted out of the playoffs early. Instead, they are in the World Series and they will be playing the Detroit Tigers. I watched just about every playoff game this year. I think I missed two of the NLDS and I watched all seven games of the NLCS. Unfortunately some of the games started before I was back from work but thanks to my XM Satellite Radio, I did not miss anything. Even if the Cardinals were not in it, I would still be rooting for the National League.
Anthony Reyes will be pitching in game one for the Cardinals. He has been very impressive for a rookie. I like his style with the high socks and the flat bill on his cap (which by the way, he irons the bill of his cap to keep it flat). It should be a very good game and I hope the cardinals can get it going early.
A few thoughts on game seven of the NLCS:
Game seven of the NLCS was very exciting and had some awesome plays. The play by Endy Chavez was an incredible play to see. I went from jumping up and down cheering because Scott Rolen hit a homerun for the lead to slapping the floor saying “no, no, no” in complete disbelieve. I must say hats off to Endy Chaves. Later on we got our runs in the 8th inning when Yadier Molina hit a two run homer that Endy Chavez could not catch. Wow, what a game that was.
